Nevertheless, the other earbud gets pulled out and dropped over the other side of his chest, voices filtering through the speakers too soft to be discernible above a monotonous hum. The answer is pretty much what he expected, so he can't decide whether he should be troubled or content with it, maybe hoping that the city life is good enough for the birds that they choose to stay year round. ...I moved to an apartment near here earlier in the month. I feed the crows, and sometimes they bring trinkets. [ Hence zoning out and looking at the sky for so long, although a part of him was really actually hoping to see a ghost. ] They have better eyes than me. I was hoping they'd be around to find it.
