She didn't feel like you could spontaneously become psychic, but no one else seemed to be noticing this thing, did they? That made her seriously doubt whether or not this thing was a projection from somewhere, so developing ghost powers out of nowhere seemed like a not very logical conclusion, but the best conclusion she could come to -- also, a super cool one.
