AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Hey so this is a huge long shot and I totally understand if it doesn't jive with your plans but:

This guy, Theo, used to belong to a family that actually adopted several kids for a brief time before his parents died. Theo was taken in by his aunt and uncle, but they didn't want to take care of the other kids that they had no biological relationship with, so the rest went back into the foster care system. Theo's currently 23 and his parents died eleven years prior, when he was 12.

Would youuuu possibly be interested in them having been siblings for a little while when they were kids? Theo's moved on in life, so even if he still feels a bit guilty about losing track of the kids he regarded as siblings, he hasn't really made an effort to find them again now, but it'd be interesting if he were to come across one of them again.

Could be a bar regular; Theo here's an actor but whenever he's just going around town he probably hits up bars while incognito so he can properly sit and grump instead of acting all friendly and sparkly for his job.

i'd be down for it! all it takes is a minor adjustment to the age he was when he was adopted, so the rest would work out just fine. gerome may not recognize theo right away... it's been eleven years and he was quite young then. if you don't mind that, then i'm game!

Ooh!!! I love this idea! : D It's alright, she wasn't the best at being social either, but she was probably always That One Student Council Member that would be annoying and make sure your forms were turned in on time and was like, YOU NEED TO DO THIS TO GRADUATE!!! until you cared about it.

Haha, and thanks good to know. She'll be surprised by his makeover but excited to catch up and reconnect.

Cheria is probably a huge fan of live performances that go on in the city. Maybe there was a story for the two like... When Anya was starting out she had a small performance, and fainted back stage because she didn't eat enough? Cheria offered to help with the situation and helped her lie down properly, get water/food all that jazz and hung out with her until she felt better. And maybe they just like... kept in touch? Cheria would be hella supportive about her baby idol career : D

Honestly Theo's the type who gets attached to people a lot harder than he likes to admit, and he still feels guilty about never finding out what happened to the other kids so!!

His background is here if you want to take a peek. As a child he definitely had a Super Cool OC that he ended up taking the name of for his stage name because this is what happens when you let a twelve year old choose how he's credited - Kestrel Blade. Since he's also living sort of a double life, if he runs into Gerome he'll probably try to ~*subtly*~ get close while incognito so he can keep an eye on him while figuring out what do about the. "Hey I wondered what happened to you but never looked you up how are you doing :T??" thing.

HMMM Theo has a pretty big presence online fashion-wise under his stage name Kestrel Blade - he's an actor, not a model, but he keeps various social media accounts going that showcase his eccentric yet stylish looks gotta establish himself somehow. Meanwhile when he's just going incognito around town he dresses super plain and looks much more like a bum, oops.

If you'd be up for it, it could be amusing if Biffy knows of his acting persona through one of his social media accounts while he actually regularly shows up incognito looking like crap at wherever Biffy ends up working :3c

oh no that's so cute, MOM!!!! she just started having performances in july-ish actually but tbh this still sounds super plausible. we could say it happened a few months ago when she was still doing preparations and whatnot? and they had to call for a volunteer emt bc anya was getting p. gently overworked? correct me if i'm wrong i'm not super familiar with emt stuff

THEO IS ALSO LIVING THE DOUBLE LIFE he's an actor and he's very sparkly friendly as his acting persona and basically a huge grump when he's incognito as himself. He's been in the acting business since he was like twelve, so maybe they've become acquainted during social events? He's only a year older than her, so they could have met under their work personas and end up running into each other just as themselves :3c

HELLO Theo is an actor, but a lot of his social media accounts are all around fashion and styles since he tends to be very eccentric in his tastes... as far as actors go, anyway.

Would it be cool with you if he's a customer of Lavrenty's shop? o: Though oddly he's a bit hush-hush about shopping there because he always goes incognito to avoid being recognized, so there's definitely a discrepancy between who buys the clothes vs. who shows up online wearing them. Gotta love living the double life.

God, I just realized he is going to FLIP when the app-related changes take place, specifically all his favorite green things turning grey and learning there were MONSTERS everywhere but he never noticed

but HAHA OH MAN, I just... imagined a whole 'I'll Make a Man Out Of You' song montage with them training together and Syaoran trying to be tough and unyielding in their sword duel (but not TOO tough because he doesn't want to really hurt her), and Sakura one day regaining her Sword card and beating the pants off of him

(although it's okay, he's not going to be amazing with it at first either, so a lot of this will be them flailing dramatically with practice swords sobs)

I'm definitely up for it! And Natsume would be friendly in a way that wasn't him actually trying to make friends IF THAT MAKES SENSE? He's a vaguely obnoxious type of friendly where he likes to tease people like they're good bros while holding them at arm's length when they want to actually get closer to him.

He'll definitely feed her some lies though and never bother to correct them B)

Ooh, we could definitely go that route, depends on how severely Anya pushed herself. If it was really serious (ie: collapsed and they felt the need to call 911) then yeah Cheria could arrive via ambulance and give her some on-the-spot care. Or, if you want it to be a bit more low-key, we could say that there was a call for volunteers with medical experience (at a very small local show, I could imagine them making the call, similar to how they would ask on an airplane if anyone has medical experience when someone collapses) and then Cheria would have volunteered and come back to help.

Either is good with me :3 because either way them having a friendship sounds 1000% precious!

so HEY THERE i always try to collect all the military characters together as much as I can hahaha because James/Bucky here is an army brat who lives on base! idk when Olivia would have left, but if she was at Fort McCoy in the past 3 years or so, she and Bucky could very well have met/known each other!
