honestly with the way that the AU has shaken out for him, I'd be worried if he wasn't teasing the people he considered to be friends unless it's a really serious situation.

Went to school for it, kinda-sorta (though a Criminology degree probably would've had him working more in investigations or in research than directly on the force after a while) so he gets it! That won't stop him from probably bending the rules once in a while (especially once more of his inhuman traits/memories start popping up) but he does have respect for law enforcement.
