I can't say I've ever given it thought before.

As far as looks goes, bleeding hearts. They're adorable and their name describes them perfectly -- small, heart-shaped blossoms on a stem, resembling the lily of the valley in style! I planted a fair amount of them when Alison was born.

[They're generally romantic, he remembers, save for the rare white ones. Purity and innocence... especially towards young ladies who've died in a tragic way.]

Otherwise, I'm rather caught between primroses and dahlia! They're both beautiful specimens with their own romantic meanings, and I don't simply mean that in a romance sense. Primroses are a declaration that boldly states that the giver cannot live without the receiver, while dahlia are often the symbol of a commitment and bond which lasts forever alongside its meaning of elegance and dignity.
