My plan for his Recolle AU self is to surround him with people who gave him the guidance and support that could have prevented everything that happened in canon, so I'm all for Ainsley being a supportive teacher of his. He wasn't the best academically but he was a energetic, brave (if not reckless) and goodhearted kid. He'd appreciate her support, honestly.

As for Roderic, maybe Yata helped him out at some point? Not sure with what but Yata's a bleeding heart with a bit of a Hero Complex, so it's easy to get him involved in anything.
