Do you foresee Chuuya eventually getting back into criminal-type things at all due to regains and junk? I'm canonblind so idk I'm just curious about how his memories might eventually affect him...

I do, that's my plan with him! At first he's going to see it as a potential path to not being broke all the time (especially if he remembers he had a lot of money doing it, his expensive taste is a canon thing), but as he remembers more it'll become his career again because he's good at it, he was successful at it, and he liked it. Maybe he'll be a little thrown off by remembering murdering people at first (and he won't jump back into it immediately), but he doesn't just kill for no reason anyway so he'll just. Do it when it's necessary and be fine with that, if it comes up. Learning more about his power is going to freak him out more than knowing he definitely killed a lot of people.

What about Yato's regains! Do you think he'll get back into the god business and try to gain followers, or what will he do once he knows more?

omg Chuuya... you mob boss you... I'm excited though, I love organized crime in fiction!! I'll have to read Bungou Stray Dogs sometime...

I expect that Yato will have to get back into the god business out of sheer necessity. I think that working steady human jobs won't cut it for him in the long run once he's back on the Far Shore, since customers will have a hard time seeing/remembering him and I think the disparity between that and his past experience as a loud, over-the-top worker who commands a lot of attention will slowly eat away at him.

He can probably depend on his current human CR becoming "followers", so his survival situation isn't as immediately dire as it is in canon... but I think he'll struggle a lot with doing what he has to do to stay in people's memories vs. doing what he thinks he should be doing as a god. His human side informs him that gods are supposed to be holy and admirable and powerful, and at some point I think he'll find empowerment in thinking that he can be those things!! But the reality is that he can't do anything without a shinki, he's preeminently a god of war and calamity, and he won't be able to meet his own expectations, so he'll get depressed and. need a lot of help...

SO I WAS THINKING HEY DOWN THE LINE if Chuuya were at some point interested in employing Yato pt. 2 as a mob guy, it might be interesting?! Like no pressure if Chuuya wouldn't drag friends into it, but I'd be open to it because moral conundrums are always fun idk

Yatoooo.... your cr is here for you yato :c AND HECK YES HE CAN BE IN ON MOB STUFF, bar employees have a v easy in on that bc he. sure is going to try to recruit them, the plan is for him to use the Inkwell basically as a front business for his activities. SO YEAH he'll probably feel things out and try to drag certain folks in bc he can't do a lot on his own! come do questionable things with your boss, Yato, it'll be great.
