the first being how off the rails + remorseless he gets. it depends on how his memories are triggered, and he doesn't have the degree of power and enabling he did in canon, but the fact of the matter is, he still laughed it off like 'well yugi you COULD win this duel you just have to kill your best friend :^)' or my favorite example of his fucked-upedness is how he treats pandora's loss (haha i fucked around with your mind so you panic and get your legs sawed off. haha. oh that didn't work i guess i'll just make you kill yourself). like. he gets to a very low, far-gone point and i am admittedly pretty curious to see how that unfolds and handling/exploring that.
the second part is the rebound + redemption since canon handled that terribly all around. maybe he can get better. that is going to be a long, long road and not something that'll come into play for a long time either. but who knows. or maybe he'll just rot in jail in-game because he deserves it idek.

both of these are excellent though and prob my favorite parts of villain-y arcs? i also didn't really care for how canon handled malik's redemption and... well, remorse for his actions. to be fair, it is a children's cartoon, but i think the depth of how incredibly messed up malik got cooooould have warranted a little extra on the writing's part. there's really no punches pulled with malik and how honestly terrible he can get with people and how he gets what he wants from them, like. HE DEFINITELY WAS CREATED TO BE A VERY INTIMIDATING VILLAIN. the jail thing is probably fair but jades going to do her best >(
HAHA...man. there's a lot of stuff i actually want to do with jade and her abilities largely because there's just so much that can be done with her space powers; having the ability to bend space at your will is an incredibly powerful ability and it isn't... really seen how powerful she is until she is mind controlled and has her anger and negative emotions used against her. as such I AM A LITTLE WARY OF GOING "too far" so to speak, but. sillier things like floating things over to her friends (be it a remote for the tv because they dont want to get up to get it) or growing a slice of cake large enough for her and a few other people to eat out of, idk. i also look forward to tear and teleporation shenanigans with elizabeth, since jem and i joked about those when we were working on our apps! but hmm, more serious stuff would be that i'd love for jade to use her powers to poof people away in serious situations, like fights and things like that.
she also can breathe in space and stuff so like. that would be. interesting to work on when she gets teleportation and flight back. homestuck?
I HIT ENTER TOO SOON. you've talked a little about regains you want to get for malik but i want to ask a similar question to you; what are some things you want to do with those regains, whether they're items, physical appearance or powers?

But really at the end of the day, Malik just went on an extended murdery tantrum because no one told him no? No one made sure he faced the consequences of his actions?Like. You guys. He was still trying to murder you like a few hours ago, he might be like "oh whoops sorry i guess" and everyone is okay with it but they shouldn't be - and the nature of playing in-game is going to see that he DOES face consequences one way or another, because you can't just let a sociopath run around cackling and screaming about killing people and just. Let him say sorry for it???
God don't even get me started on his redemption arc proper we'll be here all year lmao.
BUT AAA Jade is too cool, too op... you know I'm canonblind so I didn't know just how broad her powers are :o re: poofing people away... I assume she has some degree of control over that? So like, she could poof her friends back home to safety or the aggressor into a corner for time out? I'll probably think of more related questions because lmao I know homestuck can be... a mess, but I'm curious!! SORRY THIS PART IS SO SHORT.
OKAY FOR REGAINS... Malik's shit is also too op so it's more like, how much use can I get out of it in a limited timeframe? My first thought is the Millennium Rod and like, if he could mind control someone for a couple minutes, even if it's just once per day, he'd fuck around with those powers just to see the extent of his control. Making people get snacks for him and then work his way up to more questionable tasks...

i always identify red with liz! there's a line in bioshock that really ties into my reasoning: "And what's the difference between a woman and a girl? Blood." once liz kills someone, despite the blue associated with her dressing palette, red is the color of revenge, passion, and independence. she has blood on her hands in burial at sea and rage in her heart, so it's only natural that's how i tie my bachelors of science degree in design to rp

3. Jade - Malik is ambivalent towards her if only because that's the most positive emotion he can feel atm and jade also doesn't seem to care about his emotional shortcomings. like she keeps? talking to him? it's weird. jade is weird. he doesn't... not like her, but doesn't understand this whole 'friendship' thing so really everything is floating around in this vague gray area
2. Anya - annoying. WHICH BREAKS MY HEART BECAUSE I LOVE HER.......... but her kindness is seen as insincere and foreign to malik which puts him on edge and he just doesn't wanna deal. why are you being so nice. stop. this is irritating!!!!!!
1. liz B) - the fact that he listens to her at all would indicate he has a modicum of respect for her, but as with the last two, any sort of positivity on her end is met with confusion and/or hostility on his. liz also has the unfortunate affliction of being an adult, which by default means he doesn't trust her. he feels she's sanctimonious. very eyeroll worthy.
HMM ok we'll stick vaguely with design(ish) details... also i love small details BUT! i hear the woofs are moving?? :o Is liz the kind of person to freak out over furniture arrangement, like everything has to be just right? or is it more like eh whatever just throw that couch wherever.
