How'd you and Pip decide on which last name, Narumaki vs Seta, to use? Or is it just like... Yu Seta sounds silly.

sneaks in here because god, we talked about this forever! laughs. whether or not the twins should have separate last names, or if they had the same one, which one!

i think we decided narukami sounded cooler. also, it's to do with their parents, i think. their mom is the Seta, their father is the Narukami, and their parents are divorced, so the twins kept their dad's surname.

CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG ICHI but i think those are the two main reasons.

Narukami does sound cooler, it's a good reason haha. I'm glad au Seta mom exists though so GOOD CHOICE OVERALL

LAUGHS twin came in here first, but that's about it! narukami was their father's name and souji's "original" surname before the divorce so if we did have to stick to one surname, it'd make more sense for it to be narukami. it wouldn't make much sense for yu to take on seta after the divorce, with seta being their mother's name

though in our original twin au (loooong before recolle), we had the twins have their own respective canon last names! so souji seta and yu narukami. we've just decided to have it the same one here in the game so it'd be more obvious that they're twins (and also because of other plans we have, laughs)

but! what regain are you most excited for ryoji to get? do you think you'll get it anytime soon or are you waiting for the right moment?

I'm intrigued by these other plans... But I'm also really really happy for twin AU, especially playing into the idea that one twin "failed" and how that blows over for the both of them when they get their respective memories back. Since Souji is from the "true ending", do you have plans on regaining spin-off game memories from Arena, P4DAN, etc.?


Death regains!!! I think the memory of him being the harbinger of the Fall will be especially poignant for him, but also the ability to turn into Thanatos, none of which I plan to regain soon because all his canon regains are going to destroy him lmao I want to play with his happy, upbeat personality for a while longer before I do that. Maybe I'll stockpile thousands of points and regain everything at once and destroy him completely idk.

LAUGHS god, i am so insanely excited for the twins to find out that they're from different endings and that yu to feel like he's the "worse" version of themselves. it'd be a Thing

but hm, tbh, i'm not entirely too set on those memories just yet! i definitely would loveeee for souji to regain p4dan memories because jfc what a game, defeating shadows through the power of dancing, but the reason i'm not set yet is because yu would only have memories up to the p4 neutral ending. i don't want to stray too far, at least not until the twins go through their p4 memories first and deal with that! after that, i think it'd be fair game for crazy akihiko ass kicking memories

holy shit, i actually didn't even consider the ability to turn into thanatos. that'd be a super awful regain, laughs, but i'm very excited to see ryoji start to regain his death memories so he just goes from :D to D:

on the topic of death regains, like you said, they're going to absolutely destroy ryoji and take a huge damper on his happy, upbeat personality but after the initial depression and shock and all that, where do you think ryoji's personality will end up? a balance between super peppy and super down? 80% serious with a fake happy persona (haha pun) that he keeps up so he doesn't worry anyone?

cries, Yu... Telling you upfront, I'll be popcorning those threads. But at least both twins will have the chance to make all the SLs here! Without a strict one year time limit and less strained by people dying and getting kidnapped here and there. But yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how the twins regains their similar-but-not-exactly-the-same memories. I feel like Souji as he is now can handle P4DAN, no problem, lmao. PQ might fall into both true and neutral routes? I never realized how expansive P4 is.

Lots of yelling and crying and withdrawing from society for a month. It'll depend somewhat on how close he is with his CR when the time comes and how they help him deal/drag it out of him, because he really has no obligation to tell anybody aside from Minako, like he did with SEES, so it'll probably just eat him up inside. He'll prob be quieter and more serious about things, more concerned with other people's livelihoods instead of his own happiness, but is terrible at lying/faking so avoidance it is! Lies on the ground and covers himself with cats and just refuses to think about it.
