very important question: what is your favorite kh game and why is it your favorite

Probably still KH2! (note, though, that I haven't played BBS- no PSP or PS3- and I'm only a little way into DDD.) Looking back it has its flaws (it was definitely where the story started to go off the rails, and they really could have used the Disney half better) but it has kitty Sora, the gummi ship segments didn't suck, I'm Organization XIII trash as you might have guessed so it was great seeing more of them... good times all around, basically.

Except fighting Demyx on proud mode. Fuck that.

What's been your favorite thing about playing Karkat so far?

honestly.... fuck fighting demyx? he's not even hard it's the stupid timed part of the fight that kept screwing me over??

i think playing hs characters in general is great cause they tend to roll with a lot of stuff, even in au format? so they could see a completely ordinary thing and still make some sort of hilarious deal out of it which is something really good to have in rp because it makes it easier for me to keep threads from fizzling out. also i love how extremely different his cr can be?? people icly either hate him or love him and it makes every thread great

is there anything in particular you really wanna do with arlene/larxene here?

There's the whole Nobody thing of course, but in terms of plot rather than regains? I'd love to bring out her (OU self's) ruthless side in some kind of sabotage or betrayal plotline. Going too far to get a role or a guy or whatever over a rival.

Any regains you don't want Karkat to get?

not really... remembering his early conversations with the beta kids before he accepts them as friends is going to be icly awful for him because he was a lot bigger of an asshole there than he is in recolle? he has already regained one or two of them and it's very YIKES. it's also going to be awkward when he regains the knowledge of romantic relationships he's in at the end of hs because those characters are in-game and karkat isn't close to them in recolle so it's going to be. weird to navigate that for him.

do you have any plans for a second character?

Not at this time. I have the time, but my energy level for RP fluctuates enough that I haven't been able to juggle more than one character in a game for very long for a while now.

i have a few people i have in mind? ben tennyson from ben 10, karata from avatar: the last airbender, annie sawyer from being human, norma beatty from tales of legendia, and.... maybe others? but those are the ones who would be most likely. BUT if i do app, it won't be for the next few app rounds i think cause i want to really get settled with karkat before bringing in another person.

how did you choose larxene anyway? like did you immediately know it was gonna be her or did you consider several characters before deciding to app her or what?

If you could rewrite any one part of how KH went, what part would that be and how?

I might look for an alternative to Xehanort's surprise time travel. Like, I don't know anyone who thought that was really necessary. But I'm not sure what I'd replace it with to answer the "how" plot... Well, we know he was already making a bunch of Horcruxes vessels, maybe give them a bigger role in DDD instead of Teen Nort.

What drew you to Fang as a character?

Surprise time travel never pans out well in the end.

A lot of things, to be honest. Sarcastic, aggressively passionate lady front-line fighter from a different culture than the primary game protagonists with extremely questionable moral priorities? I mean. I was pretty much on board from the start.

The sarcasm drew me in, but I stayed for the questionable moral compass, I guess. It's fun to explore someone who honestly has good intentions, but frequently goes too far in the name of those intentions, and living with those consequences. There's a million different characters that say "I'll do anything for [person or persons]," but not many that actually mean "anything." Like, say, attempting to kill said people before they have a chance to be come fantasyzombies or agreeing to become a WMD.

tl;dr Fang makes a lot of bad life decisions and I love that.

Right back at you, then; what drew you to play Larxene?

God, I don't even remember why it was the first time I played her in a game- I was just starting high school then. In Recollé specifically, I wanted to explore the gradual transformation from relatively normal (if extremely rude and needing a moral-compass adjustment) person to literally-heartless villain; she's also just fun to play because she can be so out there.

And knowing I'd have at least one fantastic castmate to bounce off didn't hurt either. :D

Dream castmate? Hard mode: not Vanille.

Well, if Vanille isn't an option, it'd probably be Light. Fang gets considerable interaction with Light throughout the series, and in my time playing Fang I haven't gotten to thread with a single one 8( I've played with one Vanille and one Snow, but none of the other l'Cie. I mean, a Dysley would be great, too, because I'm a terrible person

Arlene's biggest fear/s?

Dying before she's had a chance to make a real impact. She's actually got a bit in common with Lea that way, wanting people to remember her. Needless to say, depending on when she gets it, the memory that she did die young- at the hands of a kid, no less- could really fuck her up.

A less serious one, but more embarrassing in her opinion, is deep water. She was nervous around it to begin with and can barely swim, but since an incident in middle school when she got pushed into the deep end, panicked and nearly drowned, she's avoided going in more than neck deep.
