AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. Additionally, you can find our game-wide App This Please over here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Reserves open on March 17th at 9pm EST! Please note; due to player polls, players may now apply for characters without a reservation. Applications open on March 24th at 12am EST. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 15 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! As a note, we will update the application page with a space for current players to link their full AC for our review should a player wish to apply without a reserve. • Most importantly, as a friendly note: Recollé will be going into its endgame this year. As such this is the last application cycle of 2019. FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like. OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! CHARACTER: Adrian "Alucard" Ţepeş
CANON: Castlevania (Netflix)
AU NAME: Adrian (last name to be determined)
AU AGE: 21, probably
AU OCCUPATION: Student at Recollé University, working part-time somewhere
BLURB:
✩ Adrian's parents are a cardiologist (mother) and a history professor (father). Their family is pretty well-off though not super rich and they're really close-knit.
✩ He probably doesn't have any siblings but he does have extended family, hit me up if you want to be a cousin (or have him be a cousin of yours) or something!
✩ His father used to be very loving and supportive; he even taught fewer classes while Adrian was growing up. His mother was always busy, but she did her best to be there for Adrian as well.
✩ Adrian's very bright and he's always been good at schoolwork, he's always had a passion for learning and reading and his parents have been nothing but supportive.
✩ His childhood was actually really normal, there isn't really anything else to note here aside from the fact that he loves video games and is kind of a nerd.
✩ In high school he started acting out a bit, blaming his parents for making his life hard (they weren't) and dressing in all black. He embraced his creativity at this point, however, and started writing. It wasn't good, but he kept at it and eventually decided his calling was in fiction.
✩ He picked up a job working part-time during high school; he still works there now. I'm thinking a book store or something like that, but let me know if you've got suggestions!
✩ During his first semester at Recollé University, his mother was involved in a car crash and died. Adrian and his father were devastated, and Adrian ended up taking some time off of school just to work and try to sort himself out.
✩ While he did eventually manage to return to school and keep pursuing his degree, his relationship with his father is very strained now. They barely talk to one another and his father has thrown himself entirely into teaching and his work.
✩ Adrian still attends the university, where he's working toward his degree and will hopefully be able to live his dream of being a writer. He's actually got a job all lined up for when he graduates, though it's in editing and not exactly what he's looking for. With the money he's saved up he'll be able to get his own place as well.
✩ While he's very focused on his education and genuinely loves school, he's eager for a change of pace.
✩ He also still plays a lot of video games. He's still a nerd, okay.
✩ Adrian also has a family dog, a fluffy giant white adorable girl (name undecided). He takes good care of her and she is absolutely coming with him when he moves out.
LOOKING FOR:
✩ Family! I'm pretty set on Adrian's family situation, but if you want your character to be a cousin, I am absolutely here for it! Cousins work on either side of the family, so I'm sure we can work something out if you want to!
✩ Fellow students! Friends, rivals, acquaintances, that guy who let you borrow a pen once... I'm here for anything! I'm likewise here for people who have been in Recollé forever and would know him from high school or earlier.
✩ Teachers or staff at the university! He's an excellent student so perhaps he was in one of your classes, or maybe you're familiar with his dad, who teaches history.
✩ People who know him from his part-time job. I'm leaning towards working in a book-store or something, but I'm open to other ideas if you want to hire him!
✩ Fellow dog-owners, maybe you ran into him while he was walking his giant fluffball? Maybe you're familiar with his dog pictures he posts online sometimes?? Who knows!!
✩ I'm really down with anything, Adrian could stand to have some friends who drag him into things or otherwise encourage him; he's still battling with the death of his mother (by not focusing on it) and the problems that come from his dad withdrawing (and him ignoring his problems) after that too.
