Shuji's also great for bitching with? Oh my god Jaeger sometimes just wants to aggressively bitch about Retrospec and everything else and Shuji is great for that. Shuji also usually lets him know when he's going overboard with it and needs to back off, so he definitely appreciates that too. All in all, Shuji's a wonderful friend and Jaeger's really glad he has him around!!

JAEGER & WESKER
What can I say about these two that we haven't already said a million times... They're so adorable!!! (That's already been said.) I never would have expected Jaeger to end up actually coming out of all of this a better person and someone who was willing to work on his issues and try to help others, but his character arc has gone this way and Wesker has had a big impact on that. He wants to do better for himself, certainly, but also because he wants to be able to help Wesker out and that idea of "I want to help people" seems to have been buried beneath the surface, it just needed some help to unearth. And Wesker has helped, tremendously. Jaeger wouldn't be able to talk to any of his CR about his memories or anything else without Wesker's help. So when he says "I don't know where I'd be without you" he means it, and I don't know where he'd be either and goddamn it's a surreal thought.
Wesker really does mean the world to Jaeger and he's so happy he's found someone who loves him so much and is so patient with him while he works himself out. He's had a lot of issues to fight his way through, and he never would have started without Wesker's assistance. He'll keep working on the things he's having difficulties with, and who knows, someday he might even be a well-adjusted individual! (But probably not.)
It's still crazy to me how Jaeger started out closer to Yeager and then decided he didn't want to be Like That and chose to turn his entire life around, and not only managed to confront some of his problems but work on overcoming them. It's been a really fun ride and I look forward to see how Jaeger will keep changing in the future with Wesker's help!
Of course, Jaeger will always be here to help Wesker with anything he needs, and he's absolutely here for fighting anything he can to protect his husband. He knows Wesker's got issues, but he doesn't mind any of them at all and he's always going to be right here for him. He couldn't be happier with his husband!!
JAEGER & CUMORE
Cumore and Jaeger's CR started off so bad, I'm still laughing about it. But now Cumore is one of Jaeger's closest friends (despite his many, many flaws) and Jaeger would absolutely throw down over Cumore's honor or feelings or anything, really. I mean part of that is because Jaeger is a very fighty person but part of that is also because you don't fuck with Cumore. Sure, Cumore probably deserves it sometimes, but there are certain things you just Do Not with. Don't mess with Cumore or he'll be mad!!!
He's still a little concerned about how little he cared about Cumore in his past life, but even though that was ultimately why he decided to befriend Cumore, it's more of a background thought now. He doesn't really focus on their past lives as much as he does the present, because they didn't really know each other back then. They do now! And look at how much of a mess they are. He gets Cumore has issues as well, but he's (mostly) fine with them and he's here to support Cumore no matter what. He probably wouldn't have befriended Cumore quite this hard if they hadn't been from the same world in their past lives, but it's not like he has any regrets. In this house we stan Cumore, etc.
JAEGER & ARTHUR
IT'S ALEXEI...... He's going to be more convinced after seeing the hair color change, but ohhhh my god. He hates Alexei, but Arthur has confused him greatly because Arthur seems fine?? Arthur seems like a perfectly acceptable individual, albeit a little weird, but it's not like he'd be the first weird person Jaeger gets along with. Some part of him really wants to convince himself that Arthur isn't Alexei, because he does kind of like Arthur. And if Arthur is Alexei then that just makes things even more complicated. He doesn't want to deal with that?? Oh my god. Like he mentioned to Wesker, he is still glad he didn't let Arthur wander off to possibly get himself in trouble and/or die, but it's still Complicated, and he Doesn't Like It.
He's going to be very relieved when he finds out Arthur isn't Alexei and he'll be more open to talking to him more and actually befriending him instead of being just really weird in his direction. But for now it's confusing and he isn't sure what to do with it.
SHIGURE & ARTHUR
Shigure is literally the most chill individual in the fucking world and I'm not sure how he's able to be so laid-back about all of this, but here we are. This is a good thing when it comes to Arthur, because he is totally fine with weirdly intense people who lack a sense of humor and are otherwise just kind of awkward. He's totally fine with Arthur, and he's here to aggressively befriend him again. Even if they were from different worlds he'd still do it, because Shigure's just kind of like that. He sees someone who looks like they need a friend and he is here to Help. Even if no one wants or asks for it. He's not very good at helping either, but he. tries.
Things are definitely going to get interesting once they start getting more memories back (and actually talk about them...) and I'm really looking forward to seeing where they go! I have no idea where they'll end up, and I'm excited to find out!
SHIGURE & WESKER
Speaking of really intense people... Shigure's pretty chill with Wesker too, even though Wesker's more intense and also probably completely crazy. But hey, he's teaching Shigure how to fight and that is very important. Shigure has been out here for ten minutes and he's already totally here for it. This can only end poorly.
Thankfully, I don't actually see things ending poorly between him and Wesker, if only because Shigure's so goddamn chill. He is not 100% sold on fighting Wesker, but you know what, he's open to the idea and it's not like he's wigged out by the suggestion in the first place. He's probably going to get along just fine with Wesker regardless, and that's something I want to see more of as well!!
