Wesker is honestly very fond of Shuji, albeit in a weird sort of way that he doesn't admit to very easily, if he does at all; he's glad that Shuji actually gets it anyway, and he's a lot more willing to let the guy tease him about it a little than he would be if he didn't like him at all - Wesker is a very blunt and aggressively strict person and he's really particular about his personal space, so it honestly says a lot that he'll let Shuji hug him and sit in his bubble sometimes.
He doesn't really know what to do with him all the time, and when he's like that he tends to get kind of short because that's just sort of how he handles things that he doesn't know what to do with - he either does that or he sort of suddenly infodumps a lot of stuff that he's been keeping to himself and there's no way for the other person to know, and he's at least...sort of recognizing that that's not fair? He's trying to step off a little when that happens, because he does like it when Shuji talks to him about stuff and he appreciates that sometimes they can just sit and talk about things. He doesn't have many friends that he can just spend time with, he usually prefers having a purpose to interacting with people in person, and so he actually sort of likes it when Shuji does things like bring him to the shrines and stuff for the new year or hangs out with him outside of general Retrospec whatnot. Basically, Shuji has been really good for him socially? And he does consider him a friend in some way, even if he's very..."what are words" about it.

Wesker's CR with Al is a little weird, in that Wesker really isn't used to hanging out with much younger people? He has before, but generally he doesn't spend time with the teenager contingent since the last time he did that it ended up being kind of weird and upsetting for him because the teenagers in question were taken off the network but were still either living with or spending time around people he was close to that were still there. Since then he kind of avoids them, both for age bracket reasons and because he really doesn't like the reminders of all of that.
And Al does remind him a lot of one of those kids he used to spend time with, in that he's really blunt and doesn't tend to think his issues are weird, he just asks a lot of questions about them, but he doesn't find the curiosity to be a bad thing? He still thinks he's the last person that should be offering advice to teenagers but he's...trying, anyway, just because that's one of the hazards of being on the network. But generally speaking he doesn't mind Al at all, and he wouldn't mind doing further things with him in general because he's aware that the damn kids can take care of themselves and Al isn't an exception to that.
CUMORE → AL
Cumore isn't altogether sure what to...do with Al half the time, honestly; part of that is honestly because he's a lot like Derek is in terms of temperament and personality (he's very blunt and overall self-centered and tends to be volatile, viewing things through a lens that generally centers everything around his specific views of the world and getting very frustrated when things don't work out like he thinks they should, and while he's got slightly better people skills he's got about all the self-awareness and social grace of a well-educated rock) and generally speaking there's going to be some personality clash there, and part of it is just that Cumore is kind of weirdly-socialized and as such he doesn't always understand why people talk to him about anything personal? He does this with his closer friends, too, not just Al; he just literally doesn't understand why anyone would tell him about personal things or trauma or their families or whatever, because he isn't going to care. He's super-narcissistic and has a lot of emotional problems and Is Uncomfortable When We Are Not About Him, and as a result when Al talks to him about his problems or tries to get Cumore to open up about his own, he's always just kind of internally screaming and wondering why the hell we're doing this at all because he doesn't understand.
That isn't to say he doesn't like the kid or anything, he's not opposed to him? He generally doesn't mind his presence or anything, he's just...badly-socialized with a lot of his own problems that he's not sure he wants to work through right now and as a result he's kind of awkward at everyone. So...sorry about that? Al is right, though, in that he does have problems and issues and a lot of them are centered around bizarrely sentimental or emotional things. ...That said, he isn't currently planning on acting on anything he knows about Al at the moment in terms of blackmail, but he absolutely wouldn't be above it, either, so, uh. There's that.
ARTHUR → AL
So Arthur kind of has the weird distinction of being both the most sincere and the least genuine person I have in Recollé right now - he does believe everything he says, and he's very honest about his thoughts on things, but his actions are a lot less altruistic than they seem and almost all of them come down to his personal moral code as opposed to having anything to do with actual feelings toward anyone. He assisted Al by giving him somewhere to sleep, but it wasn't because he genuinely cared about the guy and what happened to him (that first impression was not a good one, and he actively disliked Al at the moment); rather, it was through a sense of obligation. Al was obviously messed up, and he could do something about it, so he was obligated to actually do something instead of just letting the situation stand or ignoring it. He's very neutral toward most people; they have to earn respect and care from him, and Al frankly hasn't quite managed that yet. He'll continue to be kind and still do whatever he can to help him, whether it's offering physical assistance or a place to stay or just someone to talk to, because he doesn't like the idea of people suffering or going without; at the same time, he doesn't particularly care about him on an individual level, and he isn't doing it because he likes him any. Maybe that will change someday, maybe it won't; either way, it's more just because of who Arthur is as a person than anything.

Oh my god. So Wesker is generally of the feeling that Derek can go soak his head? They've spoken a couple of times and had it turn out civilly, usually about magic whatnot, and so that's usually what he's okay talking to the guy about; otherwise he finds Derek to be unfathomably self-centered and incredibly childish, and again, needs to go soak his head or something for a while. He's generally not here for Derek's specific brand of bullshit, and he tends to be a very strict and severe person overall and is of the opinion that he's dealing with enough without some squalling brat trying to get in his face.
That said, he hasn't given Derek's name to Jaeger, which is honestly for the best for everybody given that he has told Jaeger some of the things that Derek has said to him and Jaeger is sort of out for the blood of whomever said it. In other words, there but by the grace of God go you, Wesker is actively keeping his stupidly aggressive Tales boss of a husband from trying to just coldcock Derek from right the fuck out of nowhere in the middle of the street, you're welcome, Derek.
He is curious about the cheering charm thing, though, just because he wants to see if it'll work on him at all; part of the effect of the virus in his system is that he can't feel things? His feelings, for the most part, simply don't work anymore, and he's sort of wondering if this is going to have any effect or if it's just going to be more "wow, it's fucking nothing." So, not an awful reason. Not the greatest reason either, but not...awful.
CUMORE → DEREK
Okay, so Cumore absolutely does love Derek a lot? He's his best friend and he cares about him and he doesn't want anything too stupid to happen to him (but if something stupid happens he's pretty sure that it's probably Derek's fault somehow and he is not going to be particularly surprised). He tends to get where Derek is coming from more than most people tend to; he's aware the guy has the social skills of a rock but he's willing to be patient with it and just kind of...try to explain things to him or help him try to fix things because he has found himself in the unexpected and unfortunate position of giving all the fucks in the world for some reason he's not entirely sure of.
That said, he's...actually still really pissed off about what was said to him about the soul-shattering thing, because that really fucked him up at the time and he doesn't like it being used against him in a way that comes off as very "but what about ME" when it had nothing to do with that and everything to do with the fact that he was having some serious problems at the time and literally no one did anything to imply that they actually gave a fuck about him regarding that. Even Derek was very "okay but MY problems, you're causing problems for ME by doing this" and he honestly really resents that, which is why he's so completely incensed about that being thrown at him again for no discernible reason. It was basically really low and he doesn't feel like forgiving it, especially since all he's doing to get with regards from it isn't even an apology, just "but I was drunk/didn't mean it/etc" and insistence that he needs to just forgive it anyway. So he's pretty content being pissed and spiteful and not forgiving that, because frankly he's like that and he doesn't forgive easily. He forgave it the first time; he's not willing to do it again unless something changes with regards to how this is being handled.
All of that aside, though, he does know that Derek loves him, even if he doesn't acknowledge it very much; he's actually cited Derek as being the only reason why he doesn't want to be taken off the network, seeing as he honestly prefers not being on it but also knows Derek would flip his shit if he's taken off again, and he'll likely chill out a bit eventually. He's just a generalized shitshow right now, as per usual.
ARTHUR → DEREK
Oh my god, all he's got first impression-wise is that he finds Derek so goddamn tiring - he doesn't particularly care what happens to the guy, he just doesn't get why he has to whine about it all the time. Dude, take responsibility for your own life if it sucks?
