AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. I would support the latter opinion, granted she will have her doubts at first. (After all, she is a teenager with a fair amount of issues and sort of bad attitude.)

Her doubts would be extremely valid as Tatsuo's capabilities as an adult are often in question. Nevertheless he is quite good at his job and he's a very capable martial artist. So at least professionally he's not a screw up.

He usually won't steal from girls, unless he spots one being an asshole then he collects an "asshole tax". Then he usually doesn't care who he steals from, some might go to "the victim" after he takes a cut for himself.

The easiest way I can imagine it going down, is her beating up a guy for no reason? He would definitely have no reservations about stealing from her then.

AU AGE: 24
AU OCCUPATION: Truck driver, mechanic
BLURB:

• Born in Zapata County, Texas
• Parents died soon after he was born and he ended up in an orphanage, he's been with some foster families but it's never worked out
• One of the families lived at a farm, he got along with animals and became particularly fond of cats
• Was picked on during school and got into a lot of fights
• Also did really bad in school except in wood shop, sewing, and gym; until 4th grade when he he got kicked out of all those classes for stabbing a guy with a butter knife he'd made
• He got sent back by his family as a result and only was temporarily taken in for a little while once
• Learned how to fix cars through some people at a mechanic shop that also doubled as a chop shop
• Nearly killed a guy in 11th grade and got sent to juvie, was let out two years later and never finished high school
• Got a driver's license and became a truck driver, adopted a crippled cat a few years ago, her name's Bourbon
• His truck is called Margaríta and it's got Day of the Dead cats painted on it, and he lives in it
• Now he's stuck in Recollé and needs a new temp job as a mechanic properly

LOOKING FOR:I

AU NAME: Sonia Cleek (it doesn't quite roll off the tongue as smoothly as I'd like it to, but Sonia Bean is based after Scottish cannibal Sawney Bean... I thought it'd be appropriate to name Recollé's version of Sonia after Christie-Cleek, yet another Scottish cannibal... we in this!)
AU AGE: 21
AU OCCUPATION: A college student with an undecided major, but I'm unsure on what occupation to actually give her. I was thinking of giving her something ordinary like working at a grocery store or something to put emphasis on the whole lack of passion for anything extraordinary issue, if anyone has any ideas or job offerings for her lmk.
BLURB:

▸ She was originally born in England as an only child, but moved to Recollé with her parents when she was five.
▸ Has a very good home life, is loved by her parents and loves them in return. Her parents were older when they had her so they're in their 50's/60's at this point in time, and she worries often for their health. She's never had to be alone before.
▸ Struggled a bit to keep up with the other children at the beginning of elementary school but was set on a special learning course and was able to succeed with the help of her family and teachers. Mostly kept to herself all throughout her school days, but was kind to everyone she met and managed to make a few good friends that she loves.
▸ A shy and sort of awkward girl, if not a little weird. She has the tendency to mumble when she speaks because of her naturally quiet and small voice. She's easy to startle and is a crybaby sometimes, but she tries her best and is quite friendly!
▸ Very loyal if she's attached to you and loves deeply when she does. Can be affectionate and even clingy if she's comfortable and close with the person in question.
▸ She looks like a young teenager even though she's 21. That short, petite feel when.
▸ A big fan of cutesy clothes. Super into pink and frills. She looks a bit like a doll in appearance, and usually finds everything she gets in thrift stores. She's pretty big on thrifting and finding the best deals available.
▸ Also thrifts antique items and dolls and the like.
▸ A huge eater. How can so much food fit into one tiny body?! It's one of Recollé's unsolved mysteries, actually... anyways, she can get pretty embarrassed about the bottomless pit that is her stomach, but once you see her pigging out there's no coming back.
▸ As mentioned earlier, she lacks any particular passion for anything and it makes her kinda anxious. She has things she enjoys but there's nothing that lights a spark in her in the sense that she wants to dedicate herself to it, so she's left not knowing what to do with her adult life since she doesn't want to be unhappy but also can't just force herself to suddenly find something (or someone) that ignites her heart inside.
▸ Lives in an apartment and is currently attending Recollé University. I kind of want her to have a pet but I'm not sure what?! Maybe a cat or a bunny.

LOOKING FOR:

▸ FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTANCES: I'm looking for friends (or just people she knows) for Sonia to have! Since she's always been shy, she's never had a huge abundance of friends, but she's lived in Recollé since childhood so she's bound to be on a friendship-basis with a few people. Can know her from school/college, work, her thrifting hobbies, etc.
▸ CLOSE FRIENDS: She's going to need people to rely on as she regains her memories because uhmm she has a lot of awful shit waiting for her to uncover. A lot of which involve being in a severely co-dependent relationship. And being a serial killer. Both of which sort of overlap each other. This doesn't have to be pre-established, we can work up to it if you prefer.
▸ A ROOMMATE: I have it written that Sonia moved out of her parent's house when she was about 19, but I can't see her living alone. Sonia is a good girl and would be a peaceful roommate to have, I promise. As long you don't mind her army of thrifted antique clown dolls.
▸ EX-GIRLFRIENDS/CRUSHES: I don't imagine Sonia ever having been in any super serious relationships that lasted more than a few months, but I can see her having briefly dated a few girls in high school and what-have-you. Also crushes! If your character is a confident, domineering woman, Sonia will probably be blushing up a storm in her presence.
▸ Any sort of CR in general! Positive, negative (like possible bad influences once she starts regaining her darker memories that'll only add to her inner-conflict...), people who'll encourage her to put herself out there more, whatever! If you have any ideas feel free to tell me!

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: This will be my first game since 2014 after a long break from RP so I'm a bit nervous to jump in, but also very excited! I'm not sure if I'll app in this round or in future rounds, but Sonia is definitely the one I'm going to be bringing here whenever I decide I'm ready.
