Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Crow Armbrust
AU AGE: 21
AU OCCUPATION: College Student (second year) | Odd-Jobs Man
BLURB:
♠ An almost endearingly laidback 21-year-old at Recolle University with questionable attendance. Majoring in paramedicine to be an EMT. It's not unusual to see him skipping his non-paramedicine classes (like math or English)...or straight up falling asleep during lectures.
♧ Is actually really good at fashion--can think of some pretty decent outfit ensembles if he puts his mind to it. He almost went for it as his major, but he felt like there's a line separating hobby and job.
♦ Hails from the upper coast of Maine. Portland, to be exact. An only child raised by his grandfather as his parents are not around (either passed away or just couldn't end up taking care of him/out of his life)
♧ He left Maine when his grandfather passed away, when he was around the age of 18. His love of card games and gambling came from him, and it's something that makes him feel closer to him even after his death.
♡ Came to Recolle at age 19, after sorting out things with his Grandpa's house and inheritance. Met a friend there who helped him get an apartment which he lives in alone (for now).
♠ Can often be seen hitting up coffee shops (either skipping class or on his off days) for the free wifi, listening to the live performances (one Elliot Craig comes to mind), and reading the paper. Notorious for his tab there.
♧ Is a bit of a gambler--he likes to use some of his paychecks to buy the $1 lottery tickets at the gas station to try his luck and win some decent money. Said luck isn't the greatest, so he's always looking for people to go halfway with him and borrow 50 cents off them. He'll give it back--seriously!
♦ Along with lottery tickets, he absolutely loves card games, often playing UNO or Go Fish with kids for candy. Loses on purpose though, since kids always tell when you're about to pick their best card.
♡ LOVES gacha phone games, especially the idol ones. He's always trying to bring home the hunnies.
♠ Since his grandpa only had dial-up (oof) he's a bit new to the trends that are going around these days. What's an MMO, what's Neopets.
♧ He doesn't necessarily have a -job- per say. But more like he takes up odd requests from the paper or word of mouth and getting payment for it. Need help moving something to your apartment? He'll do it. Don't want to assemble that IKEA bookshelf? He'll do it (pretty well too).
♦ Very good at cooking seafood (it's also his favourite food) and knows how to make homemade fish burgers, fish sticks, and lobster rolls.
♡ Despite his lax personality, he's quite reliable in a fight, and is actually quite a good marksman should the need arise. Not that he necessarily OWNS a gun yet, but the natural skills both physically and magically will be a regain.
♠ Will be starting out with black hair and brown eyes, to match the 'Crow' name. His parents were those people who wanted something more creative than 'Raven', ok.
♧ One giant bisexual.
♦ Surprisingly an old soul--and talks like one too. He'll often call himself 'Uncle Crow' to people around him (esp if they're younger), he'll act like your mentor too if that's the case. 'Kids these days', 'ah, youth', and other such OLD MAN SAYINGS are commonplace with this one. Then again, that's what happens when you're raised by one.

LOOKING FOR:
♠ Friends and acquaintences around the city? Past customers, people who know of his notorious scams of 50 cents, fellow classmates catching him cutting history, anything!
♧ Classmates! Especially ones that let him crash their dorm when he wants to raid their fridges.
♦ Teachers...if they want to put up with this disaster of a student.
♡ Kid/High Schooler CR! Crow is excellent with kids and often takes the big brother role (Although...idk if role MODEL is entirely accurate). He's very reliable when it comes down to it, though--absolutely no harm will come to said kids under his watch, so let him be your wise, wise senpai!
♠ Has probably had multiple dates with both men and women--so previous flings or one night stands are open!
♧ Cousins/People from his hometown! I have Crow set on being an only child but that doesn't mean that there aren't distant relatives out there he didn't account for! Same goes for people from the same city he grew up in.

YES I definitely agree Crow's probably a regular to Elliot's live performances and maybe invited him to a game of cards afterwards.

Hello! So Lucille here is Elliot's younger cousin, and while that doesn't offer much in the way of CR, it's possible that these two could have a gen ed class or two together. She is a tryhard when it comes to school, so she won't hesitate kick his ass for skipping if they manage to hit it off well enough.

Oh I would LOVE for him to have classmates that kick him into high gear and try to make him attend! He's that sad cocktail of being a good student...but only in classes he cares about.

YES I LIKE THIS. Elliot would've happily played cards with him because he's sociable and yay friendship!!

GOOD. May there be jokes about him acting like such an old man his hair went prematurely gray.

Oh boy, he's one of those. So I'm envisioning this now, a long-term group project from Hell. She will drag you over the finishing line Crow because so help her if she gets anything less than an A- on this thing because of you she's going to murder you in your sleep. In class, because that's where he decided to nod off. Like a fool.

But on the other side, I would love to have someone help her not... be so fake, for lack of a better term? Lucille's your textbook good girl who concentrates way too much on how people see her. Please help this girl learn how to chill out or she's going to have an aneurysm by age 40.

He'd be one of those who's unreliable the whole project but then slams his piece down at the end and its decently solid with a few minor edits/proofreads

OH GOD YES. He's probably mentioned his boyfriend a few times now but maybe not by name (or Crow assumed it was another Eren/Erin/Aaron). Usually nice things that make Eren sound great and not at all like the hellbeast Crow's been dealing with.

Not only is she a pre-law student, but she also believes that the only thing she has going for her is that she knows how to get good grades. So yes, but it would probably do her some good to not get straight A's for once. She'll hate it, but it would be a good experience for her.

Honestly if he does that she might actually be impressed? Like this is actually good??? Then proceed to give him crap about why couldn't you have done this from the beginning, it would have been over with much faster.

YES PLEASE HELP HER. She jokes around to make other people laugh, but it's almost always that. For other people. The times when she really lets her hair down are few and far between, so he will be doing the lord's work. In exchange, she won't make fun of him for acting like an old man, or for looking the part once his hair changes.

HE'LL NEVER LET YOU DOWN IN A PINCH, REST ASSURED <3...or not because boy is he anxiety-inducing. He'd only take a bad grade in the end if it was just him.

But he'd definitely recognize that right away about her since he's got some dormant need to help those who never give enough self-love. Maybe drags her along on one of his more fun jobs like puppysitting or to get late night Denny's at like midnight.

He will probably have like 72 unread texts from her like WHERE ARE YOU WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MEET FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO. She'll be gray before he is, guaranteed.

Puppies and Denny's are good but whispers teach her how to play cards. Seriously. This has been on my short list of things I have wanted to do with her for forever. She's fiercely competitive, extremely adaptive, and she has a cute face. She would be an absolute menace. Help create this monster, Crow. But yes, please keep this girl from dashing herself against the rocks to help other people. She does so little for herself sometimes that it would be good to have someone make sure she doesn't forget herself as well.

Okay as long as he doesn't make fun of her for glowing when she gets any kinds of emotional then she will not say a word about his hair. This is a promise.

SOMEONE SAID CARD GAMES HE'S SO THERE. In canon he actually made up his own so he's got some hecka skill in playing them, so he'll make sure he teaches her how to never lose against ANY MAN EVER WITH THAT FACE.

Emma might not be a candidate for getting the app until Dec 1 (for purely logistical reasons, I need two months of activity with two characters, and Touya just came in) but yuuup.

THEY PROBABLY DO and yis, that makes sense. Crow what did you do all night... oh wait. ... yes, she wants to know, just in case.

... yes. Although my first thought is 'a bedraggled white and red tabby tomcat who lost an eye in a fight at some point but is really sweet and cuddly around Emma' so basically the opposite of Celine.

I mean you can tune both of them out, so pick your poison, Crow.

I'll figure out a way to make this work, mark my words. After all, it technically hones skills you could also use in the court room. Just don't think about that too much.

LOOK EREN IS A SWEET WONDERFUL GUY OKAY. He's just rough around the edges not unlike a certain senpai we all know and love.

That's okay, I WILL AWAIT THE MEDICAL BUDDY.

I can definitely see him always trying to get her notes to photo copy in his gen eds because he's just too lazy to...whether or not he succeeds is a whole other story. Don't you worry about his night plans, Emma he assures you he was busy! Busy...

Oh my gosh tho that's actually super sweet? He would definitely splurge some of his money on getting that little nugget some toys.
