[ so. it takes a while to get cracks to form, and rayne is definitely one of those people who needs assistance. she's diminuitive in stature and isn't really built towards muscle - sure, she's athletic in the running and ~activities~ sense, but she's not really athletic in the punching things until they break sense.

so if you help the hairline fractures become more than that, you'll maybe have her undying love and loyalty for the next five minutes, thank you.

or maybe you've already freed her. if that's the case, she'll be stumbling out of the case, unsteady in her heels, so like. catch her, please!

alternately: if she gets out she is more than willing to help other people out. if you want an eighteen-year-old blonde brandishing her heel like a weapon at glass cases to be the first thing you see upon emerging from your case, rapunzel is HERE FOR YOU, and she is the hero to your damsel (or dude) in distress. ]

a. then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
[ still casual in jeans and a summery tank (plus flower-embroidered jacket and heels) rayne can be found playing a variety of carnival games. she's particularly good at the darts, somehow, and the balloons. in fact, she's just nailed a perfect score as you come up, and she jumps up and down with a little cheer for herself. ]

Yes! Oh, hello. [ she doesn't seem at all bothered by all this Everything. ] Do you want the prize? They have loooads of stuffed animals, and I already got a few...

[ whether or not she knows the person she's speaking to, she has a friendly smile on her face. ]

b. who else can i share a laugh with? or always go half-and-half with?
[ meanwhile, she eventually wins a doll that looks like her - or, rather, her sister. rayne is very careful with it, tilting the little doll of lucille this way and that - ]

It even has her voice...geeze!

c. flower, gleam and glow, let your power shine
[ a snack break may be in order! so you can find her 1) accidentally breaking the table she's sitting at after taking a bite of a burger (oops) 2) having a mad sugar rush with super speed after a bite of ice cream or 3) taking a sip of soda and then going: ]

Eep! [ when she turns invisible?? the floating cup drops to the ground. ] Oh no - what??? How am I supposed to go to school like this? [ :( ]

d. i wanna show all the stars how stars oughta shine
[ you may find her waiting outside of the ferris wheel or roller coaster. when she sees you, she'll give a jaunty wave and a little grin. ]

Hey! Do you want to go on the ride with me...? It'll be fun!

[ she looks like an overexcited kitten. how can you say no?? ]

a. now it's time to step up or it's time to back down
[ so about those viruses...rayne is more a lover than a fighter (and is sans a frying pan or any other convenient weapons) so she's mostly running from the monsters...until she like. takes off a shoe and throws it at one when she gets cornered?

alternately: if YOU get cornered by a monster she will...again, throw her shoe at it. SHE IS TRYING HER BEST. ]

b. there's so much out there to do, we've barely begun
[ when it comes to the sidequests, though? yeah, rayne has a hard time saying no. in fact, it hardly seems like she wants to say no...intead she's happily accepting any NPC request for help and darting around the city on her little adventures.

one of them may take her up to you (for a dumb quest i will randomize along with whatever banner she has) or you can find her:

-paiting a picture in the park
-attempting to find three exactly alike seashells at the beach
-juggling apples, attempting to get up to Five (she's stuck at three)
-delivering mail
-trying to get a pixelated heart down off a bookshelf in the library without climbing the shelves, which means she's Hopping Wildly and failing to get enough air
-running up to Hug You, i'm so sorry ]
