AU WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like. OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! rose probably has some kind of painting or sculpture violet made decorating her apartment tbh, she's very proud of it (and her sister). she definitely encouraged violet's interest in art when they were kids even if she Never Got It (and still doesn't) and didn't really know what to do with the junk she brought home half the time. after she got the flower in her eye (like november last year) she started ghosting her non-retrospec sisters since she didn't really know how to deal with explaining it to them, but once lina joined (april this year) she tried not to be so sparse. BASICALLY what i'm trying to get at is that violet may or may not know about the flower in her eye and regardless given her own taste in makeup really might just roll with it anyways?? LMFAO. ALSO if you do go with the camgirl/sugar baby thing rose is Very Concerned as far as the kind of people violet's dealing with since her own experience from sex work left her a bit... well. still she's not going to tell violet what she should or shouldn't do, she'd just try to keep an eye on her and encourage her to do things that..... aren't that.......
she also probably asked violet for a recommendation in hallucinogens Once and then never again tbh.

I feel like Violet probably gives her custom pieces once or twice a year that she explains are specifically tailored to Rose's tastes, but it's always completely unclear why she thought Rose would like them? And if Rose actually asks, she'll be like, "Oh, because it shares a sensibility with [X other thing]" (with X being anything from another art piece of Violet's to a book or movie or UN heritage site, but it definitely won't be anything Rose has ever mentioned liking), or "I used [Y pattern/technique/color scheme] that I know you love" (where Y is, again, something Rose will never be able to figure out when or how she gave the impression that she liked).
And maybe once or twice, it's turned out Rose actually DOES like X thing (or realizes she does after she looks it up), or Y pattern is modeled after the secondary motif on a pair of socks Rose wore a lot ten years ago. But most of the time, it's just straight-up impossible to figure out.
Also, Violet will have made NO comment / had any reaction whatsoever to Rose's eye flower (whether she saw it as an NPC or is first seeing it now), but privately she admires Rose's commitment to that look, and the eventual realization that it's not just an avant-garde fashion choice will shake her up at least as much as/more than the memory of Zero trying to kill her.

TO BE FAIR TO VIOLET rose is VERY dedicated to making it seem like an avant-garde fashion statement and not a horrifying eye loss. ever since her hair turned white she's been dyeing it a bunch of different colors and combos since white makes it easy. she'll try to explain it to her as best she can... but tbh she'd probably be just as happy letting violet believe it's not real for as long as she can, oops.
on another tangent, rose has remembered a little bit about three and armisael in particular, and tbh she's probably thought at least offhand "violet would dig these dolls if this was some kind of horror movie or something and not actually real jesus"
