AU WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? well I don't know why you'd find this unexpected, she's just a wholesome girl with wholesome pastimes (in which she shows a wholesome level of interest)!

by which i mean please tell her it's a mood and she'll blow up on violet first month on retrospec to start off these good and lovely family times)
but i'm really excited!! i say again because i was wondering would anyone want to app in when i had clover try to destroy the city

but yeah let's talk about the dynamic! Violet obviously isn't... living her life in a very Clover-approved (or anyone-approved) way at the moment, or ever, so that's probably a source of some friction.
I'm imagining the kind of relationship where, any time Clover's saying something Violet doesn't want to hear (either because it's critical of her or because it seems boring to her), she starts tuning her out within a few seconds (often accompanied by either starting to do something else, or just wandering off)?? Which is obviously Very Rude. But then, every once in a while, days/weeks/years later, she'll make an offhand reference to something Clover said or did in the midst of a tune-out, raising the question of whether she was secretly paying attention?? At the same time, she completely forgets anywhere from 10 to 40% of the things they discuss during perfectly friendly/interesting conversations.

up until things got sour for the geteilts (that is, before jasmine and rose started really being at odds with each other), clover excused her sisters of a lot. her love is far from blind, but her love was definitely able to sweep things under a rug. it's why she's more open-minded than four is about... everything really
but yeah, clover is a definite nag and would nag violet about everything whether violet listened or not. she'd chase after violet if she wandered off before she finished speaking, too, lmao sorry.... rude meets rude.
pay more attention to everything in your life violet gosh!!
clover would also like chalk up any reference to something clover said as a fluke or some kind of weird coincidence from violet since her faith in humanity is.... never high. but clover does love violet very much, in a way four could never love any... sister or anyone.

She probably presents Clover with somewhat fewer creepy art pieces than she does their other sisters, and somewhat more... reasonable/useful gifts? Like a pretty nice watch, or some cute but practical shoes that are actually in Clover's size. And any of the art she does give Clover is always made from just one thing (like, all copper wire, or all sea glass). But again, these never show up on actual gift-giving occasions. One time she might have given Clover something within a week of her birthday, but it was a freak coincidence.
She wouldn't put this into words, but it's probably confused and exasperated her since they were kids that Clover will so rarely just relax and let someone else take care of her? (Even though Violet herself obviously isn't....... really going to take care of anyone, lol)
ALSO maybe they hung out more during Clover's one Party Year at college and Violet was like "at last she's cool" but then she got all responsible again and Violet was like " ehhhhhhhhh..... "

she will accept every gift from violet, no matter how often or rare, and she will actually keep them all because she loves her sister. wild. art is something that she thinks violet could pursue as a career or avenue to some kind of proper income, so even if she doesn't understand violet's tastes at all, clover will be encouraging about it. she's sure there is some niche market and patrons with deep pockets somewhere.
that's really sweet of violet (even if she's not going to do anything about it) but also listen if she relaxes, she can't get where she wants in life?
safkjas they could have!! clover definitely imitated rose a little at first during her party year before she got too drunk to keep it going, but you know. if they did hang out during her party year, violet could know clover only ever had one night stands with people and then never wanted to see those people again after that one night.
