2. People respond with who they ship your character with, be it OTP, BrOTP, OT3, NOTP, etc
3. React! Giggle with them, talk about how much you like it, or even react ICly with that character!
4. ???
5. Profit!

Well they are super shippable in the comics too. Even though Marvel doesn't have the guts to let them be more than friends. Fun fact: People have been shipping Matt/Foggy for over ten years now. There's an ancient livejournal post about it.
