AU WORKSHOP - MAY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. I don't know what I can offer but!!! I play Minato from Persona 3, who is currently taking a leave from college but works at the vet's, a cafe, and a host club sort of thing, idk if any of these would be good places to run into each other, but Minato's generally around anyways! One of his cousins is Kingdom Heart's Sora who is in high school and plays soccer and I find the coincidence hilarious

BLURB: born in yokohama, japan! after his parents died, akutagawa and his little sister were thrown into the nightmare that is the foster system. not wanting to be trapped in a miserable life forever, akutagawa began working constantly to take care of himself and his sister. one day, he was approached by a producer, and long story short, he became an idol.

thanks to his unexpectedly cute voice and cold, serious attitude, akutagawa was very well received and became popular in no time. he thought the whole japanese idol thing was dumb at first, but now he's become very loyal to his label and takes his job seriously. he's still standoffish and flat-out mean and scary at times, but his fans seem to love it. if only his staff felt the same way...

AU OCCUPATION: Cop (working in homicide)
BLURB:

- Krauser was born to a military family and had a very strict upbringing. He and his younger sister were mostly raised by nannies.
- Because their family was military they moved around frequently; Krauser never really settled in any one place and had a difficult time making friends or connections to other kids because of it. He really only had his sister, and they weren't exactly on great terms when they were younger.
- Since he had difficulties making friends (and connecting with other kids because he's just kind of Weird), Krauser turned his attention to his studies. He did very well in school, but he didn't exactly enjoy it.
- In fact, he didn't enjoy much of anything. He didn't really have any hobbies, though he tried several different sports throughout school. He spent most of his time reading books he found around the house, which were mostly about history.
- While he had been a good student throughout elementary and middle school, in high school he started acting out, partially as a means to rebel against his strict parents and partly because it was entertaining. He got into several fights and bullied other kids; he was overall just a mess throughout high school.
- He was suspended several times but because his parents moved so frequently he was never expelled. His grades began to stabilize during his junior year, when he realized he kind of needed to get his act together if he didn't want to end up shipped off to the army.
- While he didn't graduate with any honors or anything, he did manage decent grades and he'd finally settled down. His parents agreed to send him off to college.
- Krauser actually enjoyed college, at least more than he had enjoyed high school. He focused more on his studies and actually found things he was interested in: criminal justice and forensics being the top two.
- He graduated from college with a degree in criminal justice and immediately applied to the police academy, where he was accepted. From there he became a police officer, and eventually made his way into homicide.
- Krauser's kind of weird in general, but he seems to be a nice enough person. He's bad at sympathizing with people, but he's good at casework and he doesn't have any issues with crime scenes.
- He moved about a lot because he didn't really mind being stationed in different cities. Last year he ended up in Recollé.
- Since then he spends his time either working or at the shooting range; his aim is exceptional and he's very fond of firearms.

LOOKING FOR:

I'm flexible with Krauser's backstory, so if there's something you want to fit in, I can probably make it work! Otherwise...

- Friends: Krauser moved around a lot, so he probably wouldn't have known anyone for too long, but anyone who can put up with him being strange would definitely be appreciated!
- Coworkers: If there's anyone else working in homicide, that would definitely be cool! Krauser's been in Recollé for about a year now, so he's still pretty new to the city and the police department here.
- Suggestions? I'm open to pretty much anything here!

Maybe our characters can be friends, since both of our characters have issues they might be able to talk about them and grow together :) Al would be stubborn and loyal as hell once he warms up to her, and he really does need someone he can trust to work his issues out and she sounds like she would

Minato's only recently heard that Sora plays soccer and I think quit the team so he probably wouldn't watch the games unless his cousin's there, but we could swing the cafe! He works at the Tea Kittle (cat themed cafe) and Expressive (coffee shop) so they're easy places to meet

BLURB:
✧ Appearance-wise, he has brown eyes and bleached blond hair! Still has his piercings, no more, no less.
✧ From Japan, moved to Recolle for a bit, then out of Recolle, then back since last year or so. He might have had some friends from childhood, he was a reserved, polite boy. Liked animals and music, fairly ordinary! He had two notable childhood friends from different points in his life who are characters in game, Minako Arisato (complementing) and Akira Kurusu (maskreant). Former was elementary age and probably a silly thing to think about, latter is middle school before he moved and. Kids are tactless.
✧ Let’s just say his later middle school years and high school years weren’t kind to him, hence the Koga of now: a hardass lone wolf punk, or tries to be. His mother passed not to long ago and he wants nothing to do with her family because they were kind of awful towards him (mom was single when she had Koga… yeah). He has relatives on his “father’s” side but that’s a complicated matter because hey, it’s a fresh new development in his life. Some are even in in Recolle! They would be Kirei Kotomine/Kei Shiragaki (livingimpaired) and Izumi Sena/Mizuki Sena (adoringpast). Specific relations? Complicated!
✧ He tried to get into the music industry during and after high school! It was an assistant/lackey/intern job at an big agency/studio that gave him empty promises and a lot of work. Insert crashing, burning hard and a really sad dog. He quit and moved to Recolle to recover and get his life back on track. It’s been a year, progress is alright? Somehow he got a nice place to live with decent folks.
✧ His current job is a receptionist at a vet clinic! There’s probably some funny story how he got there, but he loves animals a good deal more than people, so this job pretty much balances out in good versus bad. Reinforces the idea that people can be dumb pet owners though.
✧ Part of his job ended up maintaining the clinic’s social media account aka taking and posting photos of the patients (with permission). Denies that he does or enjoys this, and yet gets cranky when people (like coworkers) say the Instagram should get cuter photos of animals. Who needs cute, they're happy and healthier!
✧ Remove this hellish gap year from his memory with a new kind of hell, academia. AKA he’s starting Recolle U in the fall because of some dumb promise with his mom. Undecided in what he wants to do, but he can get general courses done in the meantime? It’s fine?
✧ Still likes music, but his tsun levels levels go through the roof and he stubbornly claims it’s for stress relief and a hobby, nothing related to (crushed) dreams. He keeps up to date with artists, local gigs, that stuff though. He plays electric guitar and pretty well, just... loud.
✧ A FUCKING NERD— he knows how to play trading card games and gets stupidly extra about it. Tries mobage but can't commit, let him play rhythm games without the hassle of unlocking cute shit and rolling gacha, dammit. Also, he reads modern fantasy YA novels in secret.
✧ Can be bribed into doing almost anything with the promise of medium rare steak and/or grilled kebabs. Cannot guarantee he won’t complain, but he’ll still do what was asked. He’s actually reliable and believes in hard work.

LOOKING FOR:
✧ Neighbors/House guests! He has a living situation set and he’s the new housemate in Mochi House with Akira, Yusuke Kitagawa (fabrefactions) and Elliot Craig (fiddlestick). But, I’m down for noise complaints by anyone, even their friends when they're over. What is hospitality.
✧ Have a pet and go to that nice, well-liked vet clinic for check-ups and stuff? He might have sent a snappy voicemail from the vet clinic about making sure said pet is there at their appointment or else. Also he’s at the front desk and sticks out compared to the warm friendly atmosphere of the place, it’s meant to be kind of classy while he’s... not.
✧ The usual stuff like coworkers/bosses, classmates/teachers when school starts, those are pretty simple.
✧ Let him pick fights or get into stupid arguments with people, he’s competitive and has a short fuse. It can literally be over anything to get mad about...
✧ Catch him being stupid in one of the million possible ways he can be stupid! He’s defensive of his hobbies and interests. Also... not always that keen despite the wolf/dog motif.
✧ As for the elephant in the room, yes he can be mistaken for his facetwin Sena, especially when he gets his original hair color back. It's probably really funny at first and I'm not getting tired or it.
