HMD - APRIL Welcome to Recollé's quarterly HMD! Due to feedback from the playerbase, we have opted to switch from bi-monthly HMDs to an HMD once every three months. Players are encouraged to post to the HMD, though it is not required; there is a comment for mod and game feedback, as well. While anon is not enabled, socks may be used. However, any harassment is subject to being frozen or deleted, and if that should become an issue we will move the HMD meme to a members-only community such as our OOC community. Please remember to be respectful of your fellow players while offering crit and feedback. Thank you! MOD/GAME FEEDBACK COMMENT. |

like for example in our last two network threads, i struggled to reply to some of your tags that were very minimalistic, such as oda just replying back with a single word or a few that didn't really give me too much to work with. it felt like the conversation could have just ended there with his response and it felt like i had to lead the conversation so the thread would continue or else it'd end after a few tags.
i haven't threaded a lot of action threads with oda that may not have this problem and i can understand that with network threads, it can be difficult to add a lot for quiet characters, but this is just an issue that i've had when it came to playing with him and i just wanted to let you know. luckily, we're in an au game so i think it wouldn't be too bad if you smudge it up a little in making him give a little more for network-based threads but i don't want to say that you should change up his au. that's just one of the solutions i think you can take.
i would love to play with you some more because i enjoy your oda! i truly enjoy seeing him around the game and it's fun to talk to you and plot! but it's just a little difficult to tag you back when i don't have a lot to work with and i have to kind of keep thinking of new things for souji to reply with in order to keep the conversation going.
i hope that makes sense and helps, tori! let me know if i should clear up anything for you!

ANYWAYS, what i had written there was that i absolutely understand where you're getting at! rping quiet characters isn't something i do often, so i've actually come to this roadblock myself quite a couple times. i sit in front of the computer, wondering what he would say and sighing in exhaustion when i realize that he would most likely say something like "yeah" or "i see." while in action threads i can try to add more physical clues like sudden changes of expression or gestures or whatever, it's kind of difficult to do any of that through text.
that said, i will be trying!! i'll do my best to avoid doing as many one word answers because i know that's part of the problem. so thank you so much for pointing it out!!
