AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! CANON: Drakengard 3
AU NAME: Lina Geteilt (short for commelina but I'm open to other suggestions)
AU AGE: 21
AU OCCUPATION: Culinary student / Food blogger
BLURB:
- Abandoned at the orphanage at a young age, taken into the makeshift family of Rose Geteilt, doesn't really like talking too much about this because it's sad
- Discovered that coming up with recipes and cooking food made people happy and that felt really great, so she basically devoted herself to getting really really good at cooking
- Scrounged her way into getting accepted to a culinary arts program at RU shortly after aging out of the orphanage
- Started a food blog at 19 that now has enough of a following to sustain her mostly on sponsorships
- Loves her readers/followers and devotes a lot of energy, sometimes more than she has to give, on making sure they're happy
- This also means occasionally taking less than ideal sponsorships and trying out potentially dangerous recipes, just because she wants to keep things interesting and make sure people remain open to all the opportunities available to them
- She hasn't done anything like give people incredibly bad food poisoning as far as she knows, but if she did, it was completely not on purpose and she posted the recipe with the best intentions and she feels really, really bad about it, she promises :(
- Loves her sisters, even Rose; tries out new recipes on all of them and always makes sure she can provide an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on—often, again, to her own detriment
LOOKING FOR: Uhhhh ways to flesh this out? I know the DoD3 cast has a big interconnected story and I'm kind of stumbling my way into it and hopefully this is okay?? Also people who know her from her blog, maybe people she's accidentally gotten to make bad food choices.

clover would definitely nag lina and scold her about taking the questionable sponsorships because safety is important, especially hers
but to note, clover knows that rose and jasmine don't get along, but she tries not address it often because she wants their found family to be a loving, happy one lmao....

i feel like lina is, like, obviously aware of the rift, and doesn't pretend it doesn't exist because she can't just ignore something like that. and maybe she's just a little bit frustrated with clover for pretending it isn't a thing? but it's definitely not something that she lets affect anything, because even though all her sisters don't necessarily get along, she can still make sure they're all happy on their own (with her food to help); they're her sisters and she loves every one of them, darn it!!

but lina, sisters who love each other shouldn't fight like that. clover doesn't know why they can't resolve their issues, but they won't talk it out because they're STUPID and STUBBORN and think they know what's best when they obviously don't? both rose and jasmine devoted so much time to try to raise them, and clover adores and admires and appreciates and loves them so, so much, but she doesn't see why they need to be fighting like they do. that's not what a family should be like. neither of them accept help, either, so it's extra frustrating! they should depend on their little sisters, too! all of them!!

when she puts it like that it's hard to argue, so lina kind of gets both sides of this and she's just. she's going to keep making food for everyone and trying to make thanksgiving happen. eventually they'll realize that they can all come together again, right? that's how it has to work!! that's how it works out in all the TV shows, at least. and if lina puts enough energy into hearing each of them out then maybe they'll eventually reach a resolution! and if they don't, well, lina's been offering herself to both of them this whole time, right? she can figure something out. clover can come too, they're both smart, they can fix this!

clover would help make thanksgiving happen! she'd want and like that a lot. clover doesn't know if they can fix it, but she is willing to die (haha) trying. she won't try too hard to tell lina that things won't always work out like it does on tv because honestly, one of them needs to have enough pure hope for the rest of them combined.

her having a food blog is really cute ... jasmine definitely would have let her test recipes on her. also, i can just imagine the fucking like, preambles to her recipes? they would be SO INTENSE. and long. and rambling.
you know that jasmine holds it together all the time, or tries to, so she'd try to make absolutely sure that lina never had to support her in her life. i know one thing that came up in a couple of conversations is that two might have been The Only One who found a family, which might be something you do/don't want to follow through on it...it'd be another way for her to be the externally well-adjusted one of these NIGHTMARE CHILDREN.

i absolutely love the idea that lina actually found a family, not only because she deserves happiness but because it also makes it easier to justify her going to college and chasing her dreams. she understands that jasmine has the things she wants and has a specific way of living her life, but you know lina still makes her stuff and checks on her and treats her exactly the same. it's not fussing it's being a good sister!!
she has definitely floated the idea of thanksgiving before. with everyone.

the food blog idea is so cute.... rose goes out to cafes pretty often mainly for cakes and sweets, so she probably keeps lina updated on what place is good or has a good new item.
"Loves her sisters, even Rose" this is realest statement LMFAO although i feel like rose might ??? actually get along pretty well with lina??? more like who could hate two/lina (except for yoko taro) right, although she stubbornly tries to maintain being strong and independent so as not to burden any of her sisters. actually she's probably been really out of touch with lina the past few months because she doesn't want to worry her with her eye situation oops.....
ALSO I KNOW ARA MENTIONED ICONS ON THE ATP MEME but iirc none of my icons show up since photobucket is so awful now. HOWEVER, if you're in need of two icons i still have them uploaded and could get them back if you need more!

you know what's cheaper than going out to places? having your sister figure out what goes into those things that you tell her about and making them herself! that way rose can save her money and get herself other, different nice things that she deserves, and also get homemade sweets and cakes on important occasions and sometimes just by surprise, out of nowhere
i still don't think yoko taro understands happiness, which is why he has to destroy it every chance he gets. lina is worried about rose!! but also understands that, like jasmine and like everyone else, rose doesn't need to be fussed over—which doesn't mean she won't do it. but after a few months even lina starts getting concerned because she's pretty sure her sisters aren't so independent that they can't return a text message or something :(
I WILL KEEP THAT IN MY BACK POCKET, i have a set of 15 right now but before i give her more icons i want to make sure i can actually do this. it's been a while since i've done two characters in a game, much less one as big as this one, and if i'm bringing in an intoner i wanna do her justice

she's probably sparsely returned texts at least, but anything about meeting in person and catching up has been met with increasingly fake-sounding excuses. "i can't today i have a dentist appointment" "sorry leg day was harsh and i can't move but don't come over it's fine" "i would but i'm actually leaving the country right now for work i'll be back later" etc etc. SHE LOVES YOU LINA she just hates having to worry any of her sisters with.... anything....... even genuinely worrying stuff.

oh my god i love this disaster? lina knows something is obviously wrong but she also respects rose's privacy, but she also just really wishes she'd be up front with her because they're sisters, darn it!! she's worrying more as these excuses get lamer and lamer!! just let her know you're okay :( she'll never be able to bring the family back together if the family is dodging her
