AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. - Grew up in Japan!
- Totally normal family, mom actually involved with life and dad wasn't an alcoholic! Yay!
- Possibly had a sibling? Still debating this
- His mom was the sporty one, and encouraged him to keep on working on baseball, but she also made damn sure he did all his homework, so his grades are actually a bit better in this AU!
- Moved to Recolle to take a scholarship for playing Baseball! Is super nervous but definitely won't show it.
- Wants to play in the major leagues.
- Probably a selfie addict.
- Still a dumb flirt but his momma taught him pretty early on to Respect Girls, so it's mostly bravado.
- Will probably be very annoyed that his 'old self''s name is barely different from his own. Why couldn't it have been cool??
- l-lol why do I keep seeing myself holding a gun to my head, guys.................

- Was friends with Minato as young kids after Minato was living with his grandparents/separated from his sister, gave him the nick name Arisu.
- Lost touch over time
-Met Minako and Yukiko early into his time in Recolle, but has been here a few years doing his scholarship/degree in whatever cause what is choosing a major
- Knows Kurt and Ishida from dorms/sports/studying, Yukiko and Minako from when he first came to Recolle
- Kobi feeds him snacks.
-Knows Snow from helping him at the gym.

If we want to go the childhood friends route, Minato just turned 22 this month so he'll be a year older than Junpei, but they could have either known each other 1) right after Minato's and Minako's parents died and he lived with his grandparents in Japan from the age of 6-14; or 2) some high school in a different city in Japan after he runs away from his grandparent's house, ages 15-18.
Minato moved from Japan to the US when he was 19, and moved to Recollé this past November, just as reference. He moved a lot haha I tried to simplify things here.

and we can build things up from there :D

Oh, i'm totally up for changing ages, if need be! But i also think due to Japanese school years being different than our own, Junpei's actually born in 1993 a opposed to Yukari and Fuuka who're actually in 1992, despite all being second years.

SORRY THAT'S TOTALLY OFF TANGENT. But yeah no, can totally just make him 21.

(Aw geez, now I need to figure out why he was late getting into university... maybe he just transfered cause this one offered him that baseball scholarship and it's always been his dream? Yeah that works. Totally upheaval of his life to FOLLOW HIS DREAMS.)

But no, that works! out of curiousity, was Minato still in Iwatodai after his parents died?

I have no idea how Japanese school years worked so I just threw together numbers HAHA

He can switch majors a bunch of times bc the scholarship covers the cost :P Meanwhile, Minato's drowning in debt because of course he is.

After his parents died, Minato moved to some unnamed city in Japan! He hasn't talked about his past w/ very many characters in the game (or... any at all, in that depth) so everything about where the city is and what it's like is completely open

AW YIS so Minako was part of the Student Affairs office for a while, so they might've met up with each other when he was doing all the paperwork? Otherwise they could've met up in the gym, during a little league baseball game if he would've gone to watch one in Recolle...I'm up for anything tbh

how long ago was she involved in that? If they met then, he totally was friendly/flirting, but grateful to meet someone else from Japan.

Oh god, he totally would end up looking after kidlings with baseball, maybe he starts it for one of his courses but then is like "...wait this is really fun".

Junpei!

I've got the obvious option of Yukiko here, and it won't take her long to remember Arena Junpei once he turns up, probably. She's a university student, herself so maybe they have a class or two together. Alternatively, his family and hers could be friends so they knew one another before the Amagis immigrated to America. They actually opened a fairly successful B&B here in Recolle. so that's a possibility?

I'm not sure if my Junpei'll Remember Arena or PQ, just because of him being a Femc Junpei and that is timey wimey... wibble wobble weirdness with canon (Damn Canon AUs) But then, it doesn't really effect too much, I don't think? Maybe I should ask the mods about that...

EITHER WAY I am totally up for them being school peers-- hell, maybe he ended up staying at the BnB first since it was noted the family was Japanese before moving to the dorm and that's how they met?

I feel that he and Kurt may get along well! Kurt attends the college too and likes sports enough that he'd probably catch some of the school's games? He could possibly be a gaming friend too!

Awww Kurt! I love him, and he and Junpei would definitely get along. Is Kurt in the dorms at all? Even if not they could chill out and game together/talk sporty things.

also I might be apping Hux who is a professor at the university, if you want him to deal with a really difficult course.

You probably saw him trying his best to pay attention during the early morning classes, and then sloooooowly falling asleep at his desk. Maybe begged Ishida to help him with studying for exams?

(Maybe also telling him to lighten up a little? You're gonna pop a vein dude.)

ZOOMS IN HELLO I love junpei

I’m here for gaming buddies!! as a good start. Akira moved a lot before settling in Recolle, but as a protagonist he’s well-rounded, so he’s seen a lot being an outdoors person but he spends a lot inside, too. he goes to university (first year) and sometimes brings his cat I hope junpei doesn’t mind.

Anyway, they can game together. do consider joining!! It may be big but I think you’ll have a lot of fun here.

Cats are good! As long as it's not a super scratchy 'HISS I HATE PEOPLE' cat Junpei'll be super chill about it. Maybe feed it tuna.

Is he in a dorm? They could've met in like, the common room and started playing games together, and if you know, Akira likes the batting ranges, Junpei can give him pointers...

Hey there! I can offer a gaming friend/potential friend from Japan with Roji here, if you're down for that! Roji's right around Junpei's age (20), and he also grew up in Japan. He's been in Recolle for two years, saving up to eventually enroll at the university. Right now he actually works there as a cook in the cafeteria, so he could potentially be a source to get first dibs on delicious snacks haha. As for the gaming side of things, he's very much into games- especially RPGs and mobages. Does any of that sound cool/workable?
