Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Elizabeth *Insert last name here* (I'll think of one later)
AU AGE: In the 16-18 range. Still toying with options here.
AU OCCUPATION: Student/whatever job she's able to find
BLURB: Very rough ideas here, open to suggestions.

-Instead of a princess, Lissa is coming from a lower class family.
-Mother died when she was young, father is kind of a drunk deadbeat so the family is constantly in debt.
-She and her older brother were essentially raised by their older sister.
-Her older sister had to work hard just to keep a roof over their heads.
-And once her bother was old enough, he's been doing the same.
-So now that she's old enough, Lissa wants to pitch in and help as much as she can.
-She's thinking about dropping out of school to get a job but her siblings are dead set against it.
-She's also been thinking about moving out of their house but hasn't mentioned it yet.

LOOKING FOR:
I would certainly not mind if someone wanted to play one of her siblings.
Cousins, aunts, uncles etc. are all fine too.
Definitely would be willing to tweak the backstory to accommodate.
Otherwise:
Friends from school to maybe talk her out of bad decisions
Someone to hire her even though she has no skills or experience to speak of.
Possibly a future roommate if she does decide to move out.
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: This idea is fairly tentative, so nothing else really comes to mind.

More ideas(Still tentative, suggestions always appreciated)

-Her name is Elizabeth but her nickname is probably still Lissa

-Instead of a despotic ruler who started an unnecessary war that got everyone pissed off at his country, their father is a petty criminal with massive gambling debts.

-And still a drunk deadbeat.

-And of course he borrowed money from the wrong people(basically loan sharks/the mafia/whatever) and now his kids are stuck in the middle of that.

-Lissa was the youngest so she tried to help as she could, mostly by doing the household chores. Cleaning, cooking, basic sewing(enough to patch clothing) But she doesn't feel like that's enough.

-Because being at home with her dad was hardly a pleasant atmosphere, she used to put a lot of her time and effort into school.

-Not her grades. She's only a C student. But in middle school she helped out with the yearbook, school plays, dances, etc.

-Since she got into high school she's all but abandoned those things in favor of trying to figure out ways to help her family's financial situation. But dropping out of school and working full time is her 'best' idea so far.

Their backgrounds are actually rather similar compartively and their around the same age so I think she and Stella would get on well? She'd take the side of Elizabeth's siblings though because education is important!!!!

~~Ugh! She knows it is but c'mon! School takes all day and it doesn't put any food on the table and it's not like she's a straight A student or anything.~~

But yes, in spite of her grumbling she could definitely use some responsible friends.

Fred is a cop, so he could probably have come across her family through her dad? He would definitely try to help them out as much as possible, like offering to drive them around or keep an eye out for any opportunites they can take advantage of!

Probably! Their dad would've definitely been arrested a few times over penny ante scams and small time crimes. And big sis probably insisted on bailing him out. Which never helped their situation. (They'd probably be better off cutting him loose, but he is their dad and all.)

So they've probably been down to the station a few times in the past few years.

omg that is delightfully awkward. I love it. Lissa probably comes down with her sometimes.

On at least one occasion she probably snuck a few frogs into the station just for a joke. ~~Which got her in so much trouble but let's be real, totally worth it.~~

That's a good way to deal with an awkward and uncomfortable situation, right?

oh god yes. Fred would get so annoyed but would also try to keep Lissa from getting into too much trouble.

Haha yeah the awkwardness would reach a whole new level if she got in too much trouble and big sis had to come down to the station to get her.

please let only one member of the family be arrested at a time....

Luckily she's not that bad. A few frogs in the police station, sure. ~~I mean did you see the look on that one cop's face?~~

But nothing too bad. Her sister has enough problems without Lissa adding to them.

Good, it'll be a shame otherwise.

No the thing they have to worry about with Lissa is the very real possibility of her dropping out of school or trying to move out on her own. Or both.

Fred is sure to encourage her to at least finish high school

Good. Even if she's not likely to admit it, Lissa appreciates that he cares. And she really needs a responsible adult in her life. Her siblings are so busy and her dad, well...

She might even come down to the stations sometimes just to ~~bother him~~ ~~tease him~~ ~~prank him~~ say hi. Yeah. Let's go with 'say hi.'
