AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. i'm laughing though SOUNDS GOOD. fortunately their breakup was amiable and they're still friends too so he probably still stops by their house and store pretty frequently

omg levy HEY IT'S DUST!!! i have a teenager sadly to offer you, but maybe she can work/works part-time at his jewelry shop. the only downside is that she looks like a delinquent (AND WAS ONE), but she's also determined and has a good work ethic... hire her jewel dad

It's okay. Kongo don't judge. He'll give her work so she can become a productive member of society and not go back to her delinquent roots!

I have a 30 year old adult I can offer you!! He’s a bookstore owner and a bookbinder so he’s got a pretty calm aura about him for the most part. Do you like tea? He serves tea too. :)

I think tea and reading go well with Sensei, he's the one that taught all the rocks everything they know in canon. So he'd definitely frequent the bookstore and maybe chat it up with Genesis!

They can definitely be friends that's for sure!

Well 12 does charity work so they could have met through something like that. I wouldn't mind them being old friends or even relatively new friends

I'd say Kongo would pray for his soul but he's a broke ass machine that doesn't know how to fix himself. So they can just just watch everything go to shit I guess.

Rin's father, per my AU, is the CEO of a famous jewelry line in Japan that's currently looking to go global, and Rin's set to head the company someday. She's not actually advertising that, because after a fight with her parents she's not sure if that's really what she wants for herself anymore. BUT. She still has a passion for jewelry, and knows the tricks of the trade, and since moving to Recolle has developed an interest in making her own pieces.

She's kind of in massive debt right now (another thing she wouldn't advertise) in addition to going back to college, so she wouldn't be able to do more than part-time work, BUT. This is the one job she'd commit to through and through and not pick up as just a temporary gig. Idk if Kongo would offer apprenticeships or not, but that's the kind of thing Rin would love.

Oh yeah that would perfect! And for Kongo is might be a good deal between Rin's father as well, huehue.

But he'd definitely take her as an apprentice! Especially with knowing her passion and stuff.

Depending on caliber of the jewelry shop she can totally be a customer there too.

I'd say it's pretty decent to just above being high end?! He's had it for at least 8 or 9 years so there's that too. Probably have it so that he opened it with his "wife" so it's been around for awhile.

Sweet then yeah totally can be a customer there for new stuff, repair for old stuff if that's in the cards, etc.

But yeah!! Let's do friends. Elda's a 41 year old single mother who as she's independently wealthy (through an old money inheritance) has never precisely needed to work but has worked various jobs at different times, gone to social events/etc and was a phlebotomist for a long while as her longest lasting career.

Levy!! I actually watched the first episode of HnK recently and when I saw Kongo I was like "he is such a Levy character". LO AND BEHOLD, LOL.

Would you be up for another part-timer at the jewelry store? Roji's been looking for a second job so he can be a bit more comfortable financially (and so he can save more...). He'd probably need some training if he were to actually handle customers looking for specific jewelry since it's not even close to something he has knowledge in, but he'd be great with general upkeep of the store (cleaning, paperwork, packaging/mailing??), and he'd be pretty enthusiastic while on the job.
