AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? BLURB: Okay so I'm kind of recycling/cannibalizing an AU that I put together for another game years ago (obligatory shoutout to former ste people), which means I already have a full thing written but I'm waffling on whether or not I want to keep it the same or change it up a bit. So that's why I'm on the workshop! Here's the cliffnotes version:
- a grandma's boy (his mother died young and his grandpa is also dead)
- due to this he's fairly traumatized by death (in contrast from canon where he's forced to deal with it on a very regular basis) but internalizes it
- didn't have a lot of friends growing up due to his standoffish nature; continues to not have a lot of friends for the same reason
- played soccer at his grandparents' insistence because he needed to get out more, much to his displeasure (he hates working in teams)
- turns out he was really good at it, making him popular with his teammates despite his personality
- continued to play until he broke his ankle
- isolating himself at home following his injury, he got more familiar with his computer and a game that is definitely not world of warcraft
- after investing a stupid amount of time playing, he consistently tops the damage charts
- took a year off after high school to work a shitty mall job and decide what he wanted to do with his life
- settled on computer science; currently in his last year of school
- currently living alone in a tiny (but impossibly clean) apartment with an irritable cat
- has really bad motion sickness

Derek is 25 and is currently a CSI. He played soccer in high school and was team captain his Sr. year. Teammates maybe?

and there are one bedroom apartment in Derek's apartment complex, they could be complex neighbors!

yesss both of those sound excellent! admittedly I still need to read up on the setting some more but it's good to know there's a complex I can plop him down in. he's not exactly the greatest of neighbors but it would be nice to have an acquaintance at the very least, and former teammates are a major plus... he doesn't get out much

Derek lives in the Tisse area by the way. It's ok, Derek needs more neighbors he actually knows. All he has right now as a neighbor is Tatsuo.

me and yuff (elliot’s player, eren’s boyfriend) were talking about the possibility of knowing levi’s not-wow handle because they used to play a lot of mmos back in the day and occasionally hop on it again. except, ps, they sort of suck, and eren might actually be pretty average but also sucks because he picks fights with people and gets kicked off the servers. so, yes........ they could do that

as for irl i want eren to be clueless until he sees ya boy walking down the street and starts following him like a sTALKER but please don’t freak out he’s just curious about the guy he remembers beating the shit out of him and is also really cool please step on me, i mean, take this coffee
