AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. AU NAME: Stella Heurassien (I'm strongly thinking of changing the last name to something less obviously nobility-sounding but for now...)
AU AGE: 18
AU OCCUPATION: Student (I'm trying to remember if 18 is around high school senior or college freshman and failing dramatically)
BLURB:

• Born to a single mom living mostly paycheck-to-paycheck
  
• Her mom named her Stella because "you're the brightest star in my life" because I have a thing for arc words?
  
• LOVES HER MOMMA SO MUCH and is really close to her let me tell you
  
• Very obviously poor growing up - lots of hand-me-downs/school provided lunches/etc.
  
• I mean she's Estelle so she still takes everything in pretty good humor and is pretty optimistic/hopeful for the future.
  
• And also really empathetic to people in rough situations because boy howdy.
  
• Still a massive bookworm because hey, library is free entertainment.
  
• On that note, is pretty book smart too, for the same reasons.
  
• Absolutely had a fanfic/fictionpress phase. May still be in the former. She also absolutely wanted to be the next Christopher Paolini/Flavia Bijour/teenage author when she was 13.
  
• Wants to go to college for a Creative Writing degree. Is planning to do so through copious use of scholarships and financial aid. (if she is in college then she is a creative writing major and there on scholarships)
  
• Either way the good grade panic is real
  
• I think she probably had trouble finding her niche friend-wise until she hit high school.
  
• There were probably a few teachers who really saw her potential despite her background and how much she loved learning and were really influential for her.
  
• Everything's a lot more solid this time around but if you have any other ideas lemme know!

LOOKING FOR:

• Friends! She's probably had them all throughout her school days although had much better luck/closer friends once she hit high school
  
• Not so Friends.... like I said she's been... obviously poor throughout her life so if there's anybody who thinks their character mighta lowkey bullied her/given her grief for that, or for being a bookworm/teacher's pet material
  
• Family, maybe? Specifically of the extended variety, her mom barely had enough money for one kid, let alone more. She barely knows anything about her dad's side either.
  
• If there's anybody who does a lot of volunteering/social type work, she's and her mom have probably been visiting the food bank/goodwill store a few times throughout her life!
  
• Teachers! They've been a pretty big influence/inspiration in her life and she probably asked lots of questions! Because she likes to learn things!
  
• Somebody who really encouraged her creative writing habits! This could also be any of the above.
  
• FANFIC/FICTIONPRESS BUDDIES....... People who she met over the internet through her writings there. She was probably a Super! Enthusiastic! About! Their! Fics!

Akane is a few years older than her, but maybe they knew each other in high school when she was a senior. If not she probably follows her fanfic account. She probably doesn't write her own but definitely follows others and she'd follow Stella's.

Also she'd enjoy her for just being booksmart. Let's talk academics!

Probably not. Maybe Stella was a freshman when Akane was a senior? Perhaps it was one of those buddy things where a senior got paired with a freshman to get them acquainted in high school...!

Akane has a huge heart, so she probably helped Stella where she could too. And she's also nosy so she probably knows about her family situation and helps where she can. >.>;;

That said, maybe Akane could have... tried? To write a fic? It was probably really awful.

Tales!!! Of *Vesperia*! I love Estelle to bits so I am so excited about this!

I'm AJ & Terra here & Minako Arisato head up the Recolle Volunteer Assosciation which is more or less a catch-all volunteer/social work organization so if you wanted Stella to be/have been a volunteer or seasonal intern or something that would be a fun way for them to know each other!! The ReVA family is a good family that you totally want to be part of!

I also play Ayano Tateyama from Kagepro and she's the same age as Stella except REALLY BAD AT SCHOOL so she probably has at one point or another begged the poor girl to let her copy her homework because she didn't do it.

Did i say how excited i am about this yet because I AM

And actually yeah, the ReVA sounds like a really good idea! She'll... honestly have been on both sides of the counter for that. But more on the working/helping side now that she's getting to be an adult! They helped her and her mom so much and now she wants to help other people too.

Not asking for any CR right off the bat because oh my god, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Estelle around if you app her!

Fun fact I wasn't even really thinking about castmates when I first thought about apping Estelle here, and then I remembered I should look and found you guys! So that was a fun surprise although yeah having these two have interacted in the past would be... tricky at best.

Looking forward to future possibilities though!

Oh, absolutely. o/ I am here for anything and everything, really; as it stands memory-wise Cumore has definitely...remembered Estelle, but he doesn't know much about her outside of the attempt at arresting the party at Caer Bocram. Which was pretty damn stabby, but not nearly as stabby as it could have been in Estelle's direction.

So there's a bunch of directions this could go in, I'll be looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Yeah, I kind of realized belatedly that Estelle's background probably wouldn't overlap with her future canonmates' too much, especially since I decided to invert her canon situation rather than parallel it. But no worries there! I'm still definitely looking forward to the future should I get in-game!

ESTELLE IS CUTE AND I LOVE HER..... but in terms of CR, I would definitely love for these two to be friends since Mio is a high school senior (she's 17 turning 18 in July!) and while she's a contrast to Estelle in the way that she's actually a rich family heiress, but absolutely doesn't act like one/present like one in school and she wouldn't bully Estelle just because she's poor because she cares more about what they're like rather than their pay grade.

Also she would 100% be encouraging of the creative writing stuff and also please subtly nudge Mio to actually write shit that isn't just... papers for her AP classes + work...

C'mon Mio, creative writing is fun! And good for relieving stress because you're thinking about people and stories from faraway places. lbr she's a huge high fantasy fan.

But yeah they'd probably get along pretty well? Stella tends to try to see the good in people no matter where they are or where they're from so it'd work out nicely.

i think chiyo and stella could be cute friends? depending on if you have stella be a college freshman or high school senior, they could be classmates as well (chiyo's currently a hs senior).

but while chiyo doesn't do fanfic, she does do fanart, and she would've been supportive of stella's fic writing, if she ever found out!

So Eleanor used to do a bunch of social reach out stuff back in high school (college is way too busy for her) but maybe she could have met Estelle that way?

They also would have been in high school together, though El graduated last year.
