Minato doesn't really know Cumore as well as he'd like, but his first impression was surprise that he would open his house to complete strangers and hold a party on his property. Free food and drink? A cat?? It sounded too good to be true and Minato went to the new year's party with low expectations, but he's glad he went. If there's one thing that always throws Minato off, though, it's rich people, haha. He has several friends like this who come off as incredibly generous because money isn't a problem for them, whereas for Minato, he struggles a lot to make ends meet. In that regard, he consciously tries to keep money matters separate, because being "bribed" into relationships is an insult to both sides. Other than that, Minato believes that Cumore has his priorities straight re. the heartstone when he posted about breaking it. Before Minato talked to him about it, he'd skimmed through some of the other threads, and agrees: breaking it had no apparent adverse effects, and people are freaking out over nothing. Minato's experiences were much the same, in that the stone bothered him, it broke and he no longer feels that way, ergo everything is fine. There's some sort of camaraderie here haha, and since he believes Cumore is level headed, Minato's more confident that things are okay, as opposed to Minato breaking his stone without anybody else to compare outcomes to.
