Like, I'm not even exaggerating on that. Xiaolang is one of the most important people in Leon's life and it's no joke that he would do everything and anything to ensure that he's happy.
Growing up, Leon didn't have very many friends as a child due to his shy personality but when Xiaolang was born he was all SPARKLES!!! He's always wanted a little brother figure since he was stuck with Xiaolang's sisters growing up LMAO. As he got older, his big brother feelings for him only grew. He felt this sense of wanting to take care of him and do whatever he can to protect him (Especially from his clingy sisters... tbh he was probably also like "poor boy" upon seeing him since he knew how his sisters would never let go of it). Eventually, Leon grew out of his shy personality and upon learning that Xiaolang was also shy and didn't have very many friends made him go "Oh no" because he didn't want him to have the same experiences he had as a child.
So when Auntie Li and Leon's mom approached him to take Xiaolang with him to Recolle, he agreed without a single trace of hesitation. Being aware of Auntie Li's true intentions, he absolutely supported it. He felt as though Xiaolang needed to get out of his shell and learn how to make friends. Not just so it will help him out in the future for his family's business, but for the sake of his cousin's own happiness as well.
Being a guardian is better said than done. It's a lot more difficult than what Leon anticipated and deep down inside, he worries that he's not good enough but at the same time, it fuels him to try even harder. Of course, now that they live with each other... the rose tint lens come off and they can actually see their faults and flaws that they never really noticed about each other. Given that Xiaolang is headstrong and opinionated like Leon, it's no surprise when they have little spats. Sometimes, his sassy nature does frustrate and annoy Leon and he can't help but wonder by the boy just can't be honest and chill?! (WHICH IS HYPOCRITICAL ON HIS PART :l) but at the end of the day, he's willing to put all of that aside because he cares and loves him so much.
He knows that Xiaolang doesn't need it, but he will come to protect him if he needed the help. Deep down inside, he does fret and worry about him running off on his own to fight but he also knows he can't coddle him and control him forever. One day, he'll come to realize it but it might take him a while HAHA. He's got to accept that Xiaolang is growing up and honestly, can handle himself better than Leon can.
Like I mentioned in the hearts meme, it's no joke when I say that Leon would literally murder for his cousin. If someone harmed him, he would do everything he can to hunt down the person and make them pay. DON'T EVEN GET HIM STARTED ON HOW HE CAN'T WAIT FOR HIM TO CONFESS HIS FEELINGS FOR SAKURA... he's probably shipped it the moment he saw their interactions and believes they are perfect for each other. Seeing his reactions around her warms his own heart and he wants to see his cousin happy and fully believes that Sakura is capable of doing that.
He also respects his cousin's abilities. In his mind, there's not a single person in his class that's smarter, so he doesn't hesitate to brag about him to everyone and anyone. He's probably going to shed a single tear if he manages to graduate as Valedictorian and be all "SEE THERE??? THAT'S MY COUSIN!"
In the future, he knows that Xiaolang is going to be an excellent business partner and looks foward to the day they get to work together as equals. SO TL;DR, LEON LOVES HIS BABY COUSIN SO MUCH!! And he would literally do anything to ensure that he's happy.
