Minato doesn't know Midoriya very well, and if I had more time last month I would have skimmed through the log itself to see what Minato might have seen from Midoriya interacting with other people during downtime and grab some impressions from there, but from the one thread they had, he was under the impression that they're the in same boat re. being their first event, haha, probably because Midoriya teamed up with Ami and had to call Elliot for help... But Minato really does appreciate that Midoriya's first thought about the bear was that she was trying to protect her cubs and that they found a passive approach to subdue the bear without fighting. Since Minato is studying to become a veterinarian, that sort of consideration towards animals is always a plus in his books.
