While Noah doesn't openly admit it, Noah thinks the world of Fai. He reminds him a lot of his own dad: super kind, selfless, a bit of a goof ball. He's got the demeanor that just easier for Noah to connect with because it reminds him so much of his own dad. It also really helps that Fai is good at handling Noah. He knows when Noah needs affection and when Noah needs to be scolded for being a brat. If he didn't have a father in Recolle already, he would probably definitely see Fai as a father figure.
In return? Noah tends to be pretty protective of Fai. He worries about Fai BECAUSE he's so selfless and self-sacrificing. It drives Noah up a wall how little Fai seems to value himself, so he keeps trying to persuade him to see otherwise, or at least to try to look after himself. He doesn't want to lose Fai, and worries it might happen because of Fai being sacrificial.
Also please don't turn into an evil vampire because Noah would think that'd suck a lot (no pun intended). HE WANTS FAI TO BE OKAY AND HAPPY OK.
