She's the kind of person Kamui never would have taken notice of if not for Katsuki. She bends over backwards for other people, seems cutesy and demure, and doesn't even bark let alone bite. She's a very good girl, and Kamui is the opposite of all those things. Katsuki is the only reason he acknowledges her at all, but because he trusts Katsuki's judgement exponentially over his own, this is actually a pretty huge deal. Not to mention their mother adores her. Kamui wants to protect his family, and to achieve that, he has to protect Anya.
The process of getting to know her has been an interesting one. Her blind trust of him, despite the fact that she knows full well what kind of person he is, has him completely stumped. That won't stop him from using it to tease her, but it also leaves him tense because if he can use it to his advantage, then someone else can use it to theirs. Normally, he'd be all for letting her experience life's lessons the hard way, but a deep down piece of him enjoys and wants to keep this trust he hasn't earned, and that's not okay at all.
Kamui is terrible with complex emotions. There's no doubt he'll express this in all the worst ways before he manages to understand it himself well enough to just freaking say it already.
