Daisuke just wants to help Xiaolang with his problems, and he's sorry about making him feel flustered when he didn't mean to... At the moment, it's easy to talk about love and whatnot as long as his current crush in Recolle isn't involved, because he's distancing himself away from the memories in which he likes someone else (and even had a girlfriend to boot). That's his weird way of trying to anchor himself to ONE TRUE LOVE sort of thing instead of pining for someone that isn't even here.
Though, with that said, he doesn't care if other people end up loving the same people as they did in their memories, because it sounds really romantic. And, well, if he likes the same person again, isn't it ACTUAL TRUE LOVE??? That's what he thinks anyway, and he's usually not the one that plays cupid, but he thinks it would be nice if they both ended up together. So he'd like to help, even though he's a failure in the romance department despite being a shoujo protagonist. His past self is a lot more suave than he is (send help)
Also, he thinks Xiaolang is really stubborn like.... he's seen magic, right? In the form of Leon's floating swords. And hell has been full of magic stuff, so Daisuke's thinking "why are you denying magic when it's all around you"...
