Naegi is the big brother figure that he wouldn't wish away for any reason. Even if their roles are sometimes reversed (ex: hell week) and that got Daisuke to be even more responsible than how he is in canon, he has a very strong familial bond with Naegi. He loves him a lot!! He's also worried for Naegi sometimes because while it's nice to work hard for the younger brother figure, he feels like he's taking away the opportunities Naegi would have had if it wasn't for him. Go on dates, have some free time to do the things he wants to do, hang out with friends, and all that good stuff. He feels guilty about that sometimes and that's why Daisuke always wants to do more for him, if it's any way to lessen the burden on him. Just because he's the older brother, doesn't mean he has to shoulder all the responsibility on his own. He doesn't think it's fair.
This is also the reason why he's so insistent on getting Naegi together with Kyouko, because he wants him to find love and be happy to forget about life's miseries, even if a little bit. And he wants to wish the same for Kyouko.
