Kaden (Kaden McShanagh) | Fire Emblem: Fates (Revelation)

[AU information is here! tl;dr he's a transplant from the country that keeps getting distracted and not enrolling in university like he'd planned. Pretty much looks the same except no fox ears/tail and some light freckles on his cheeks and nose.]

[Kaden has seen eclipses before, but never anything quite like this. It's dark, almost like it's nighttime; even with the total solar eclipse he'd seen once before, it wasn't this dark out, and it's lasted way too long besides. At least his phone has a flashlight built in, and that's what he's used to light his way as he sets out from his apartment.

He hadn't quite expected to encounter a wall blocking him from leaving to go out to the forest, though. At present, he's inspecting it and the brief reflection of himself that appears when he steps close, but if you'll get close enough he'll turn to talk to you, too.]

Hey, since when did we get blocked in? I've never seen anything like this, have you?

[The strong smell of popcorn is what has lured Kaden onto campus grounds tonight, curious and more than a little hungry. Campus isn't usually this covered in free-take-one food, though, and like any good young twenty-something living on his own, he's not going to turn down freebies.

There seems to be something wrong, though, as he's investigating every cart.]

Man, none of this stuff is very healthy at all. It's all greasy or full of sugar... But free food is free food, I guess.

bonus.

[With the natural light of day blocked by some weird dome thing, Kaden has been using his phone's flashlight when necessary. Unfortunately, it's a huge drain on his battery, so he doesn't want to use it any more than possible. He's found himself in a relatively well-lit area and is going in to disable the flashlight when suddenly, his phone is blaring a very loud song that he hadn't queued up, and the poor guy ends up so startled that his phone nearly bites it on the sidewalk. Luckily, his reflexes are pretty good.

It's actually a pretty cool song once he gets to listening to it, though, and by the time the video chat pulls up at the end, he's grinning from ear to ear.]

Oh! Hey! Did you hear that song, too? Pretty cool, huh?
