AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

AU NAME: Gamma Akutabi
AU AGE: 24
AU OCCUPATION: Bodyguard/Security for Hire
BLURB:
- Grew up in a quiet town with his parents, nowhere anyone has ever heard of
- Served in the military, presumably special ops, but he doesn't talk about his time there
- He has scars across the right part of his body from his right cheek down his neck and over his entire right arm. They look possibly like burn marks, but again he doesn't talk much about them
- Settled in Recolle when he was discharged
- He takes a few classes at Recolle University - only one or two, so a slow grind on getting a degree as he supports himself. He doesn't know what he wants to do just yet, so is only taking the general classes for now
- He is quite upbeat and generally happy, always willing to chat and enjoy a good time or activity
- He can be scary when he's very serious or in emergencies, but tries his best not to go into that sort of state
- He has a soft spot for kids
- He is always willing to help someone in need, no matter how small it might be
- He has excellent combat skills, though he only displays those when he must (such as during a job or if some ruffians pull a stunt in the bar)
- He likes to hunt for "treasure" as a hobby, and researching myths
- He is big into music, and has a large collection of vinyl and CDs and always carries around headphones
- He is also a big reader, preferring adventure series or mysteries
- He is quite good at cooking for himself, and while not quite a "foodie" he does enjoy trying new foods
- Into somewhat loud fashion trends to go with his long silver hair, like animal print and feathers
LOOKING FOR:

- Basically anyone and everyone. I would be a new player, so I welcome all suggestions!

HELLO THERE. So Zack here has a lot in common with Gamma. He also grew up in a backwater in-the-middle-of-nowhere farm town outside of Recolle. Maybe it can be the same one? Zack is two years older so they might have even been in the same school together growing up? Zack ALSO served in the military (he's on leave right now because of a shoulder injury from being shot) and is in the city for physio. Maybe these two could have been school friends or have met in the military and go drinking together?

Sure that would be good! The cool older kid when Gamma was growing up, and now is a buddy he can connect with over shared experience.

He would be down with driving or getting Zack to physio too, or being a support for that, and would probably encourage Zack to come on his “treasure” adventures.

if gamma wants a bar buddy that has plenty of experience with sunken treasure hunting, delta could be a good fit? he can also maybe help gamma out a little bit wrt getting back on his feet if you're down for that, too!

Aw yes, sunken treasure hunting! He could use a good friend like that too - readjusting to civilian life and all that and going back to college.
