AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Raven Quinn.
AU AGE: 14
AU OCCUPATION: Freshman High School Student!
BLURB: Raven moved to Recolle last year thanks to family issues. Her mother was charged with embezzling funds from her company, and despite all the evidence pointing to her guilt, the jury found her not guilty. Rumors say that Mom bribed someone. Regardless, the outcome made the Quinn family social pariahs, as the embezzlement was noted to have stolen retirement funds and the like. (Maybe your family or someone else's was affected?) With daily harassment at their door, the Quinn family decided to move for a fresh start.

Raven's dealt with a lot of people blaming her for her mother's wrong-doings, and expecting her to be like mommy dearest. And at home, her mother is pushing Raven down a certain path, job-wise. However, Raven refuses to follow anyone's rules and is determined to become her own person... granted, she's not sure who that person is, but at least it's her choice. While she's a great student and clearly knows her stuff, she can be found focusing much more on playing guitar. Dream job is to be a hit guitarist in a rock-and-roll band! She also really enjoys fairy-tales, poetry (edgar allen poe fan) and volunteering. She's actually a sweet, helpful person... past the pumps, eyeliner, and spiked collar. Perky goths are the most fun.

LOOKING FOR: EVERYTHING I HAVEN'T DONE A MEMLOSS IN YEARS! So maybe people who were affected by her mother's theft? Friends, naturally! Fellow band-mates/people to jam with? Volunteer work together? Book club? Hit me!!!

Xiaolang's just at the cut-off point of being a classmate of hers (he's in the last year of middle school), and while he's from a rich, influential family, I... don't think they'd be affected by what her mother did, but!!! I WANT CR WITH YOU ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, LET'S MAKE THIS WORK

It's possible that Raven's mom might try to force a friendship so Raven sticks with a crowd she "belongs" to. So she could try to awkwardly be pals with him, not wanting to reveal she's doing this because she was pretty much told to do so.

My own potential kiddo, Emil (couple posts up from you, the weird skeleton moon boy) will be right around the same age, even if he winds up being pulled out of her class for not being on the same level required from the class... He'd probably think she looks spooky, but in a cool way, and he's into music as well, even if he leans more towards soft and classical. Also fairy tales!!! Fairy tales are so good.

While he's not from Recolle originally, he used to be from a prestigious family and had potential families disappointed that he had nothing of worth to really...offer... Anyway, he can identify with a fall from grace leading to just wanting to live your life.

Raven would definitely be curious about said pulling, and hunt him down for answers because she just wants to know. Once she understands his burden, she's going to do all she can to BOOST THAT CONFIDENCE, YOU CAN DO IT MAN, SCREW YOUR FAMILY, YOU DO YOU

I MEAN, THIS NEW FAMILY IS PROBABLY FINE...PROBABLY... it's not their fault he's falling behind and becoming a burden, which is definitely what he is, but that's fine!! He'll make it up to everyone!!!

hey so Ami here is also a freshman and also a perky goth so i am willing to bet they know each other already! \o/

They share make-up youtube vids and borrow each other's way too dark mascara while planning underground rave parties.

Ami even makes her own makeup youtube vids (albeit less often in the last few months) so we got that~

Oh! I should probably note that Ami has also been bringing her lusus to school for a few months, only everybody thinks it's a service dog... despite that it is very visibly not a dog at all. Raven can feel free to comment on that if you want xD

RAVEN LOVES DOGS. (in canon her pet dog got turned into a skele-dog. so. opportunities for memories.) so she's going to think it's the coolest thing ever, this somewhat weird dog thing that's not a dog but she's going to treat like a dog. thing.
