Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

maybe they knew each other distantly???
also she could have known him from teaching university
i mean she taught science, but whatever, they could have run into each other, everyone's gotta take a science class at some point

god maybe they couldve known each other distantly but also gladios dads thing was basically teaching his kids to be independent and not rely on family money so gladio is "rich" but not "rich" yfm
but they still couldve known of each other, somehow... im imagining teen gladio being a fucking nightmare of a child meanwhile ros was like, super talented and already has a fucking doctorate in her twenties, gladios dad just like..... why arent you more like the luteces kid

and then yeah they meet again in recolle u and gladios just like WHY do i have to take a lab class despite being an english major and WHY does it have to be taught by einsteins second coming
gladios not dumb but hes not book smart LMAO hed probably be memorable solely from desperately struggling in her class not to get kicked off the boxing team for poor grades

she really resents him at first b/c g o d she isn't patient if people don't have talent (not a good quality in a teacher) but at least he's not hideously disruptive? he tries? he's got like a D- but by god he's trying

omg also so i read in ignis' thread that ros also has connections to noctis' family and caelum security??? me and noodle decided gladios dad is a high ranking employee for the company so this provides a PERFECT way for them to have known each other previously

but yeah he Tries(tm) to be a good student he just has to try very hard and doesnt get that far but he didnt fail any classes at least ?????????? the only reason he did decent with his own major at all was because hes really good at bullshitting essays at top speed
but yeah he probably bothered her for extra help understanding material like constantly

okay at least he tried . . . she'd be a little more forgiving with that + knowing him when he was an INFANT but still she wasn't super great b/c SORRY, BUDDY . . .

rip gladio was a hellion as a child also like his preteen-to-teen years are like......... pre-getting into athletics and he just completely acted out in all respects. hes probably been child arrested like thats how bad he was before he found a less destructive outlet (basically because he noticed his little sister was trying to copy him) so yeah

hes definitely..... way different than when she knew him as a kid but yeah he probably resents her like most students do teachers of classes theyre bad at and then also the familial connections/childhood comparisons make that worse
which is great because he and noctis are gonna start out pretty much hating each other before they start to tolerate one another over time lmao
