AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like. OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! Post your ideas in a comment and let fellow players offer feedback and CR ideas. You can also use this section to ask for canonmates you would like to see in-game whether it be in your specific AU or for different CR. |

He's got a face like this and isn't chit chatty per se, but he'd be genuinely interested in knowing more about Rise and her well-being! He'll have asked her about her college aspirations, family, and all that fun stuff, and offered her all the wordly advice available to him. He thinks it's nice that she's a frequent volunteer and will have told her as much. Good teens are good.
If asked about himself, he'd talk about his mom in Recolle, sister in Japan, and recent hire with the post office. If asked about what he did before the post office, he'd mention the military, but he'd be skimpy on details unless she probed for more.
Also!! I guess a general thing Rise might notice would be that Sakichi is pretty gentle toward the people who come to the kitchen... A lot of them are probably also vets and/or lonely and/or down on their luck and he has a lot of sympathy for those people. idk he's a softy who wants people to be well

Also oh my god thank you for making this even sweeter and sadder? I think she'd actually really like him based on all of that since she's not really used to people asking about herself or telling people about those things, but she'd be willing to offer it and appreciate the back and forth while also being a little lowkey worried about him. TBF she'd definitely pick up on that; one of the things I'm hoping to play with in her AU personality to match her canon self is being able to read people well enough with some observation so she would definitely notice how Sakichi treats a lot of the people who come in and find it to be really endearing and sweet even if she gently teases him about being a softy anyway.
...she'd also ask why the post office but you know, live your current dreams my dude.
So yeah no it would be a really nice kind of friendship, I think, so let's do it!

re: the post office he would tell her without an ounce of embarrassment that his happiest moments in the military were when he received letters in the mail from his loved ones. He thought a profession dedicated to the safe pasage of letters like those would be a noble one.
(and then he ended up delivering bills and junk mail all day)
