AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! tbh i will probably try not to make a habit out of tagging yukine with sakichi because i stomp kimmeh's ass with yato already!! but i don't mind there being that relation and i can okay it with kimmeh too
ALSO since makoto from p5 is going to be sakichi's sister, chiyo would be getting her as a cousin too... i'mma confirm that it's kosher with makoto's player right now!!

if not, i can offer you cr with my other character in terms of clover volunteers to walk dogs a lot, so she could know him by having a few run ins with him while he's delivering mail and the dogs she walk just somehow instinctively tried to go to him

sakichi was probably a pretty dedicated runner... he would've known that he wanted to get into the marines and that he had to be in top shape for it! so if she ever asked him about college plans or anything, he would've readily told her about that

OKAY SO the story with Sakichi is that he's Makoto's older brother, but they were separated early on because their parents divorced! So Makoto went off to live with their dad in Japan and Sakichi stayed in Recolle with their mom. tbh Sakichi probably would not have made an effort to hang out with Chiyo unless his mom (Chiyo's aunt maybe?) took him to visit, but if Chiyo wanted to do things he'd dutifully hang out with her.
He would've been a pretty serious kid and dedicated to supervising her... While their moms(??) were off chatting, he would've taken it upon himself to make sure Chiyo was watered and fed with snacks!! If she wanted to play, he would've done it with a 100% serious face. He'd probably ask a lot of questions about it, though. He prefers logic even in his make-believe house scenarios.
His behavior around her in the present day will probably be similar, where he feels a responsibility to ensure her well-being when they're together. He's not clingy though, so unless they're running into each other on the street, the onus will probably be on Chiyo to keep in touch.

his mom being chiyo's aunt works for me! for reference, chiyo's dad is dead, and her mom is a lawyer.
why are the older boys in chiyo's family like this.... she would do her very, very best to keep in touch! her au brother rin went abroad in his middle school years and was shit about keeping in touch (for his own reasons) despite chiyo's best efforts, so she would've .... tried to compensate for that even more with people who would respond to her! honestly, as a child, more than playing house or anything like that, she probably would've just shown him her budding drawing skills and asked for his honest opinion.
despite that, chiyo isn't super clingy either? if he ever expressed that her trying so hard was at all annoying or a hindrance, she would back off. mostly, chiyo just wants to be a family that's like a family.

the older boys are TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL!! but yeah, the more chiyo would've tried to keep in touch, the more sakichi would've figured that he was important to her, so he would've been consistent about responding to her, updating her about life, and so on.
RE: ART... again, his facial expressions kind of range from angry to neutral, with actual smiles like unicorns in sky, so he would've evaluated her art with a pretty neutral expression at all times... BUT he always means what he says, so he would've been honest about thinking she was improving and encouraged her to keep going!
at the same time, you have to consider that this is the kind of eye he has
in chiyo's case, sakichi wouldn't see her as annoying or a hindrance! i like to think they'd have the kind of relationship that stays comfortable regardless of how long it's been since they've seen each other... sakichi is a stable soul and probably would've had the same essence as a youngster as he does now. i hope that makes sense?!

GOOD sakichi is a good older cousin... that's all she wants. a response. the hurdle he has to clear for her happiness and love is very low.
i think she'd come to know he's sincere and honest, so she would've learned not to look for his smiles (BUT PLEASE SMILE AT HER SOMEDAY she wants to see a unicorn). she's grateful for his evaluation and encouragement. it means a lot to her!!
look...... you don't have to be good at art to say if someone else's works look decent. she would be diplomatic about any of his art handiwork, if she's ever shown. or sometimes deadpan drag him because her reactions can be very abruptly honest in spite of herself.
it does make sense! stability is wonderful, and chiyo would find comfort in it. a comfortable relationship is a+
