AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. AU AGE: 19
AU OCCUPATION: restaurant waiter/busboy; competitive dance crew
BLURB:

- adopted from south korea as a baby by recolle-native parents
- adopted mother passed away when he was a toddler
- father runs an established, family-owned italian restaurant named Marino's in... chata probably; been raised in a kitchen as a result
- solid B student throughout schooling; avid learner
- track team in highschool but missed out on a scholarship scout due to a poorly timed leg injury
- unable to go to college as a result; couldn't afford tuition w/out scholarship
- still sneaks into college classes just to learn
- got deeply into music in highschool; started messing around with mixing beats/sampling everything
- also got into hip hop dancing; self-taught; primary style is: like so
- formed a small dance crew with his best friend; been dancing competitively for 2-3 years with general success
- makes/shares mixtapes with/for parodiety; has performed in competition to some of dave's tracks
- lives with his father in a modest 2 bedroom apartment in emerald ridge
- probably looking for another part-time job to help his dad financially
- lowkey scared of the water/swimming (he does not know how to swim)


LOOKING FOR:

- ESTABLISHED FRIENDS people he knew in highschool who helped him get into music, fellow dancers, general highschool friends, long-time regulars at his dad's restaurant, people he can trade mixtapes with, etc etc
- DANCE RIVALS granted he's not competitive enough for them to be antagonistic but. you know. friendly breakdance battles
- NEIGHBORS basil's going to be very neighborhood/community focused and he and his dad are basically a fixture in the chata/tisse neighborhoods. chances are if you live in either one, he's volunteered to help you at some point. he's a good boy.
- UNIVERSITY PEOPLE who don't like the fact that he sneaks into classes without paying for them. or just notices that's what he does. he kind of acts like he has a right to be on every part of campus so... someone call him out on that. call campus security.

Laughs...oh god. A kid that sneaks into classes just to learn would 100% be one of Kara's favorites. She's a research associate that teaches some courses and hell she'd probably help him get away with slipping into classes if he wasn't a disruption.

if she saw him breakin it down while bussing tables she'd think he was a total weirdo and would speak to him specifically to tell him that but he's interesting and has good jams so she keeps talking to him anyway (also she wants to be friends even though she'd never admit it :/ )

baroona's self-taught so the only way he'd be in dance lessons is if he just tried to pretend he was a student there for fun--which we can totally say happened tbh

he wouldn't really get mad at sena for anything but maybe sena realizes he's there for free and takes issue with it?? or something?? otherwise basil would just entertain the rivalry while having fun
