Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

CANON: Final Fantasy XV

AU NAME: Aranea Highwind
AU AGE: 30
AU OCCUPATION: Graduate student, Air Force fighter pilot (hiatus)
BLURB:Bear with me, the below will be threadbare, but I wanted to get my ideas out there before I go out and do anything else.

⇒ Born to a blue-collar, working class family here in Recolle.
⇒ Has always possessed boldness and a definitive independent streak. However, her family's lack of money and her yearning to fly led her to join the military straight out of gaining an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at Recolle University
⇒ After seven or more years of training and working as an Air Force fighter pilot, both domestically and overseas, she's been granted a three year hiatus to pursue a master's degree in aeronautical engineering.
⇒ Became a pilot was more out of ambition and determination than natural intellect.
⇒ Retains the same badass personality and demeanor of Aranea that we all know and love. But, I believe if any character knew her before she went to war, there would have definite change in her personality to something far more pessimistic and less carefree than there was before.
⇒ It was largely these experiences that led her to take a break from the military.
⇒ Currently struggles to maintain her previous ideals about justice, far more cynical than before.
⇒ Still LOVES teasing and messing around with people, this will never change.
⇒ Has also been using this reprieve from military life to have some good, old fashioned civilian fun.
⇒ Also works as a teacher's assistant for an introductory Physics course.

LOOKING FOR:

⇒ Friends, acquaintances, rivals, either from Recolle or newly made ones.
⇒ To go along with the first bullet, banter buddies of any flavor.
⇒ Relatives!
⇒ Students who she can tutor and mercilessly grade their papers.
⇒ Anything! If you can't come up with any ideas but would like something going with Aranea, I'm sure we can whip something up together. Also, I'm open to reconciling past AU CR if there's stuff you really want to keep... this AU background is obviously different though, but the canon personality is fundamentally the same.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Just, uh, please enable me! Haha, just kidding. I just hope that I'll be able to apply as Aranea this cycle. If not, I'll have to wait a couple months, but y'all won't get rid of me easily just yet. ;)

would you still like to go down with the idea that aranea failed one of prompto's papers at some point? and ever since he's been intimidated by her... LOOK, HE NEVER KNEW HOW TO WRITE AN ESSAY YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO BE SO RUTHLESS!!
