BLURB:

-Age somewhere between 25 - 27
-Reimagining the ant colony as an orphanage
-Seeing some kind of gruesome accident for Pitou's parents that they've heard about but don't really remember
-Thinking to switch to they/them pronouns instead of 'it' the way it's used in the anime, since it will no longer be... an insect...
-Eccentric, up-beat, busy body with poor respect for personal space.
-Mortician!
-Doll hobbyist, assembling, painting, making costumes. Creepy as shit.
-Crazy cat person, at least five.
-Krav maga enthusiast.
-Odd. Very very odd.

LOOKING FOR: Neferpitou is so totally inhuman that to reincarnate them human and still represent their traits I need to go towards a pretty eccentric person. Which I'm cool with, but will probably need a straight man to find its behavior ridiculous (but lovable, ok.....)
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Pitou is super interesting to me, I just need to kind of faff around with the details.

Robin tends to play straight man to ridiculous behavior fairly regularly in canon, I'd love for her to keep that up here. Maybe she and Neferpitou knew each other in high school or college?

I'd skew for college, since I'm imagining high school as where a lot of canon reflection events will go

I was trying to remember what kind of dojo Yang's dad could have been running that she took part in, before it went bankrupt and he took an out of town job to still be able to support her staying behind, and THAT was the name of the discipline I could not remember.

so since Neferpitou is older it could be they either attended classes there, taught there, or even just knew about it and was disappointed that it closed down? Yang still practices but privately because she doesn't like how it feels with her arm gone... but if she KNEW someone to practice with and maybe refine the style to work with her handicap (so she can win bar fights easier, I mean, what)

Yeah! In canon Pitou is a seriously scary fighter, so I figured I needed to keep that aspect in there somehow, I'm sure Pitou'd be interested in whatever styles, honestly.

Also hxh is one of those canons where people get their arms ripped off literally all the time, YANG WILL FIT RIGHT IN.

so I've heard from my friends who are fans! but yes I'm sure they'll find something to bond over even if it's just butting heads — literally, probably

Absolutely they freaking should! I imagine them shopping for a lot of ridiculous outfits too.

grell would try to get pitou to wear some red accessories at least

In my current app draft, I was thinking Grell could help recommend Pitou for their current mortician position, since their front room consolation skills still suck a bit. They'd need a little boost.

seeing as she'd come into contact with the mortician's office frequently enough given her work, she could do that! get to know Pitou along the way and mention things when the time was right.

he could be the manbrat at the local animal shelter who shamelessly keeps enabling their cat addiction. and he's also a weirdo who doesn't understand personal space, so they could creep people out together.

I am sure Pitou would definitely be there volunteering and fostering allllll the tiiiiime

YES GOOD. it's the best place to hang out, and they're the coolest cats (hurr) in town. that is to say very strange people who are constantly covered in cat hair and scratches.

iiii would super be interested in something with these two, as Ichimatsu is also sort of a crazy cat person (also owns at least five but doesn't include all the strays he takes care of and feeds all over the place lol) and quite an odd ball himself. in canon he has an extremely pessimistic view of things and life plus he doesn't enjoy other people all that much, which will sort of be extended into his AU. i could actually see him being a bit intrigued by Pitou's job as a mortician

HELLO Sorry did not mean to leave you hanging. I love Pitou and Ichimatsu actually, their personalities clash hilariously.

Hello there!!

Can I just say that I love the idea of the ant colony being an orphanage? It works so well. (Also mortician Pitou is excellent.)

While brainstorming I left a lot of Pouf's early life open because I was really curious about any other ideas you may have had about that. If maybe they no longer have any lasting connection to the place, I'd still love for Pouf and Pitou to be keeping up with each other some way! Or re-finding each other.
