Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. CHARACTER: Chloe
CANON: Noir (Anime)
BLURB:
-18 Year Old High School Graduate, currently living in a small low rent apartment. Originally born in France, she picked up English fluently and moved to Recolle as part of a foreign exchange program in her last year of high school, and decided to stay afterwards on a work visa. Working at a local flower shop full time and has aspirations of community college, as she just gained citizenship recently.
-Only family is a loving adoptive mother, who she writes and calls regularly. She owns a vineyard back in the Pyrennes and sends money to help Chloe get by.
-Pleasant, smiles often, but has a somewhat impish and quirky sense of humor. She tends to insert hersef into other people's business pretty easily and is something of an interminable gossip, loving the chance to meddle with her friends' lives in many and various ways. Likes to think of herself as a bit of a match-maker, and has a light obsession with finding people's “soul mates.” She enjoys social media and is a friendly person online.
-Keeps in shape, but does not do much more than visit the local gym that she has a membership in to help her keep her figure.
-Lesbian, but is head over heels in love with a girl back in France. They write letters often, and she pines about wanting to move out to see her, but with the pie-in-the-sky feel that it will probably never happen.
-Loves spy thrillers and intrigue movies, and goes to see every one of them as they come out in the theaters. Especially loves ones with female leads, but if it's espionage, you can probably bet that she's seen it.
-Knows a guy who makes good fake IDs, and so frequently sneaks her ways into the bar scene in the evenings. She's usually kind of a wallflower and sticks to light drinks when she goes, but she likes the excitement of being around so many people as a change of pace from her home life.
-Life at home is quiet, filled with reading and classical music. Chloe doesn't like to make a lot of noise and seems to live a fairly simple life by most people's standards. Everyone says she's a nice neighbor, but the sort of girl who'd blend into a crowd and be forgotten just as easily.
-Her life is, overall, a very quiet one, but she struggles with the desire for a rush of excitement and just a little bit of danger. Not too much danger. She wouldn't know how to handle herself in an actual fight, psychologically, but the idea of being a world famous spy or cop is sort of a daydream she has now and again.
-Faints at the sight of blood.
LOOKING FOR:
-Friends she picked up in High School or in Work who she can playfully meddle and match-make with.
-People she runs into at the club.
-Customers, social contacts, neighbors and the like.
NOT LOOKING FOR:
-I am not especially looking for family or loved ones. If you have a specific pitch, go ahead and make it. I'm listening, but I would prefer to keep her adoptive mother and her romantic interest vague, unspecified. The latter, especially, is not a primary focus I have
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME:

I've sat down with this, thought about it for a bit, and I'm reasonably solid on placing an app as Chloe. I am basing her AU on the sort of whispered imaginings of a perfect life that she had when she spoke to Kirika near the end of her life, wanting a simple, idyllic existence (minus the occasional stabbings of people she was ordered to kill). If you have thoughts/critiques on the AU concept, I'm open to considerations on this.

A note: I'm not especially looking for romantic overtures, unless by some miracle a Kirika happens along, and either way I'm not interested them in her AU Backstory. Something can open up if it's organic, but given that I've 'been down that road' with her pretty heavily, this isn't a focus I want to make a major stress of the character per se.

Ah, a fellow French girl. She can come poke Émilie for that reason to start with, heh.

Yep. How long has Emilie been in the states? I'm going to assume Chloe did her last year or two as an exchange student learning English, and ended up staying in Recolle.

Whereabouts in France?

Emi and her family are from the Paris area.

Chloe's home reflects the canon, so she's from the Pyrennes, not far south of the Basque regions, I would imagine. So she's a lot more ... provincial, I would say.

Anyway, gonna say for the record that Chloe and Émi knowing is other is fine with me.
