CHARACTER: Dirk Gently
CANON: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
BLURB: His background in canon is a bit of a mystery, so I'll mostly be drawing from the events of the 8 episodes he's in and fill in the blanks for the rest of his AU as I go along:
- 30 year old eccentric manchild
- BRITISH
- has fluked every single highschool test to the point that his teachers believed he's gifted
- he's not gifted, it was dumb luck
- was expelled from Recollé University for minor misconduct, misconduct, gross minor misconduct and gross but minor misconduct
- also for cheating because nobody believes he guessed every exam
- currently unlicensed private detective, KIND OF STRUGGLING FOR CLIENTS.....
- not particularly street smart OR book smart, but has great intuition
- he's annoying no matter what universe he's in
- talks with authority even though he has none
- feels like there's something missing in his life, like there's something he should be doing but he doesn't know what (it's probably finding an actual friend???)

LOOKING FOR: ANYONE AND EVERYONE! People who can't stand him, but somehow he still gets them involved in his dumb cases. So partners, clients... culprits! I don't think I'd be looking for pre-established friendship due to his lonely nature, but I'd be totally psyched for something negative like "last time I hired you, you burned a house down" kind of thing.
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: I haven't fully decided who to app, but I'm definitely interested!! My the other character I'm considering can be found here.

Down for Yato being the occasional bit of manpower and/or informant (people like to pretend the homeless don't exist so he sees all sorts of things??), but he will charge a hard five cents for every tip and service!!

Hi, Officer Togusa here, who probably often has to go to unorthodox sources of information because his department sees him as really naive. He also tries to investigate a lot even when he's supposed to be keeping his head down and just do his job. Hi.

Is "saw him at the university while he was still a student" something that works?
