CHARACTER: Xion
CANON: Kingdom Hearts
BLURB: I don't have a lot of complex details yet.

14 year-old middle school student.
Part of a very large family with a particularly high number of siblings. Too many for one family really, so she's decently able to look after herself. They're not terrible on the whole, but she's emotionally distant from most.
In particular, most of these siblings are pretty high-achieving in myriad different ways. Compared to them, Xion is kind of like the extra - constantly overshadowed, trying to live up to their legacy but never quite making the mark, let alone standing out in her own way. Basically think like... Book 1 Ron Weasley: "Everyone's expecting me to live up to [my older siblings], but even if I do it doesn't matter, because they did it first."
Actually fairly smart/good grades, and enthusiastic about sciences (particularly marine biology and anything to do with the ocean)
Shy and has difficulty reaching out at times. Often because she often feels inadequate. Given enough time though or the right coincidence/stroke of luck there've probably been a few people who've been able to work their way in
With people she has opened up to, she's actually quite bright, curious, and even willing to tease and goof off with others

Really if anybody has other ideas let me know, I love to hash things out.

LOOKING FOR: Overachieving older siblings, possibly. Relationship there could go from distantly friendly to borderline mean but nothing too extreme either way, with maybe one or two exceptions depending on who's interested.

Friends! Often who've either known her for years and slowly worked into her bubble (calling all bright optimistic persistent types) or managed to catch her at the right moment (we'd want to talk out how it happened, probably!) to get her to open up much more quickly. Really though if you're interested here, let me know and we'll find out a way to make it happen.

It'd also be 100% in the pattern of canon if she was able to get a few-years-older non-family big sibling/mentorish type person to visit, befriend, and keep an eye on her and her well-being.

Anya's just a year older than her so maybe they're friends from middle school? and they could've bonded over sciences, if you'd prefer. Anya tends to be blindly encouraging and supportive so she could do her best to boost Xion up and forward if you'd like!

This is not the mentor you're looking for, yikes. nah actually I don't think these two would know each other but hellooooo potential castmate ✨
