Captain Marvelous | Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger

CHARACTER: Captain Marvelous (His name here? ... We're just gonna call him Marv, for now.)
CANON: Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger
BLURB:

Captain Marvelous, aka Gokai Red, is a freaking SPACE PIRATE and the leader of the Gokaigers. He embodies the role of a rogue, who masks his good intentions and deeds by claiming her just wants to beat down people who get in his way. Who just always happen to be the villains. Funny, how that works out. A member of the 35th Super Sentai, he's able to summon the powers of all Rangers from the past and future.

Marv, in THIS game, is ... a con man. He skirts along what's legal, deftly avoiding incriminating actions that might get him arrested, but he's definitely a con man. A grifter. He knows how people work and he makes his living exploiting that.

So, gaining power, and remembering Marvelous being a Big Deal and a super badass isn't going to do ANYTHING to discourage him from careening down that path, if I'm enough of a butt to keep Marvelous' redeeming qualities being remembered away from him until it's most fun to spring them on him.

He's also quite the card shark. Captain Marvelous? Is actually terrible at cards.

He's absolutely going to regain the inability to play cards worth a damn.

The extent of how much power he's able to regain is, at the moment, up in the air until I run questions by the mod types, but at the least he's going to be turning into a Red Power Ranger at some point. Please look forward to a spandex pirate threatening people with a marketable toy sword and gun.
LOOKING FOR: I have some low rumblings of folks for him to run with, but I'm totally into looking at whatever CR opportunities he could get. People he could hang out with, work with, con out of their money.

Would you like him to con Ainsley at some point because I would so be down with that. Like she doesn't even realise it when she tries to be friends with him somehow?

She's a big fan of books and stories and is a hoarder collector of them so maybe, after the two got to know the other better, he tricked her into believing he got her a rare book she's been looking for in exchange for something in return. Just spitballing an idea here because I really do like the idea of CR between the two!

I'm glad you like it! Would it be something you'd be interested in playing out in the game? I think it'll be fun to let that happen and see where it goes from there CR-wise since there's so many ways it could go down.
