AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Adell | Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
CANON: Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
BLURB:
- A 17 year old American student in his final year of high school.
- Adell is, unsurprisingly, very in shape, an accomplished student of martial arts, and plays baseball on the high school team. He's got a good arm for throwing, and an even better bat swing.
- Perhaps more surprisingly, despite looking like a musclehead, Adell's actually quite intelligent and a good student. Though not as good as the dedicated intellectuals, he regularly pulls down at least B+s.
- Like in canon, Adell has a strong sense of justice and is as forthright as they come. He doesn't bother playing social circle games and sees such things as a waste of time. Though certainly not a loner, he's more a sort to feel comfortable with people who are true to themselves and generally not jerks. Cliques he can't be bothered with, and will often stick up for people who might fall victim to them.
- His family is working class and generally poor. He doesn't have a lot of spare money, but for the most part he doesn't seem to care. That said, he doesn't care about other peoples' wealth standing, caring more about character.
- Has an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement or firefighting after college. He likes helping people.
- He has two siblings that he's extremely protective of. Don't mess with his kid brother especially if you like your teeth where they are.
- Surprising no one, he still has his style, and is honest, forthright, and won't abide gambling fraud. Among other things. Despite his rougher looks, he's no delinquent and is a goody-two-shoes at heart.
LOOKING FOR:
Friends, mostly! Also baseball teammates, and perhaps friendly martial rivals. And perhaps a teacher he's fond of. Another angle might be someone Adell's helped out in the past from trouble. And maybe a girlfriend/romantic interest/crush for him. Really, give the guy some kind of diverse school circle.
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: This blurb isn't a set in stone 100% chance to app, but yeah. Still, other Disgaeas would be a good way to sweeten the deal. Other possibilities might be Valvatorez (Disgaea 4), an OC fighter pilot, or possibly MegaMan "Rock" Volnutt (Mega Man Legends), or even Big Boss/Naked Snake (MGS: Peace Walker-era). I'd have to come up with AUs for them, but talk to me and maybe something will happen.
