[To riff off a certain Disney movie: as a family, they were little, imperfect, but still good. Leon may not win guardian of the year any time soon, but he was someone to talk to, which was a step up from what Xiaolang had at home. Of course, he wasn't opening up about everything as of yet, because these kinds of things are hard to get used to, but it was... nice to have someone listen to him for once. Even for dumb things, like these.]

One of the employees was trying to chase it off with a broom before that... but I saw Mio pull off the same move not too long before, so I figured I'd try it too. [Not that he looks all that proud about it-- not only did the move not work, but the only reason he saw Mio doing it was because she was... also... trying to rescue his pathetic ass.... CRIES

But Xiaolang blanches slightly at Leon shuddering, alarmed by his reaction.]
... was it that bad? I suppose it was a good thing we ran into you when we did, then. They seem to hold some powerful grudges for a bunch of feather dusters with legs, so I can see why people go and hunt them so much. [And at that, he shoots a sharp look over to Leon.] We're not having turkey for Thanksgiving, by the way. It's gross and tasteless as it is, and I refuse to even think of touching one after all of this.

From what I've heard, though, the mayor is possibly behind all of this, but I haven't gotten the exact details about it. All I know is that he's offering a reward for any of these dumb creatures to be brought back to him, but for $50 a person, it doesn't seem worth it whatsoever. [Not to mention that kind of money is pocket change for these two rich jerks]
