[ Alice spent her formative years in Germany so Thanksgiving is really just a day to her. She'll spend time with her family in Recolle, sure, but it doesn't have the emotional gravitas for her that it might have for a lot of other people.

Maybe that's why she's out on the street instead of at home watching the parade from somewhere warm, but that's why she's there to see someone who looks... not unlike herself dangling from a rope under the massive escaped balloon. She takes a moment to assess what's going on, then starts to run. For all intents and purposes, it looks like she's running away. Sorry, Lillian.

Until she grabs one of the foremost strings on the balloon and continues running before rushing to tie it to the bottom of a mail box (not the mail box, but a regular one). Those things are supposed to be impossible to move, aren't they? And it beats trying to stop the balloon's momentum by pulling; in her mind, this is more of an anchor. ]
